May 23, 200916 yr Thanks Ben! Two entries for EOTS, great! Surprised to not see Alex Rybak tho, is iTunes not counted for the German charts?
May 23, 200916 yr Author Thanks Ben! Two entries for EOTS, great! Surprised to not see Alex Rybak tho, is iTunes not counted for the German charts? the sales for this chart are from 8th - 14th May 2009, the week before Eurovision. He should chart next week. I'm not sure though if Alexander Rybak will chart, because the label can decide wether a song / single is allowed to chart or not. A lot of songs are excluded on downloads alone before their physical releases because the record labels want to see the song as high as possible.
May 23, 200916 yr Hmmm, well, I think he is promoting in Germany? I know his album is getting an official release.... so this could happen...
May 23, 200916 yr Terrible top 3, PF is so overrated, Milow and Mamcita OMG, worst song what I ever heard, really awful!
May 23, 200916 yr German N-Dubz debuted. :P New peak for EOTS - WOAD :o Seems hurting to see Milow and Razorlight hanging about the Top 5. :( Edited May 23, 200916 yr by FunMaker11
May 23, 200916 yr Author Next week the following singles could appear with the physical release: Alexander Rybak - Fairytale Marilyn Manson - Arma blah blah blah Geddon The Veronicas - Untouched Quite an exciting week with Alexander and The Veronicas. So actually here is the answer to Tom's previous question, Alexander will surely debut next week! :cheer:
May 25, 200916 yr Yan's German chart comments - issue date 22.05 So for another week Lady Gaga remains untroubled at the summit of the German single charts, but I guess that she will be removed from there either by Alexander or by Daniel in one of the next two weeks. That leaves us to the biggest and only new entry in the top 10 from returning Black Eyed Peas at #4. Fergie and the guys already have six top 10 singles in Germany, two of which ("Where is the Love" and "Shut Up") even climbing to the top spot - a good feat for a band with not so long chart history. Perhaps their latest album will offer more top 10 singles in the near future apart from the somewhat overrated "Boom Boom Pow". We should also not overlook the fact that Eminem still manages to jump in the top 10, after his latest offering "We Made You" debuted last week at #11 and this time advances to #9. Steady climb also for Green Day (27-25-24-14), with a song that really has grown on me over the past weeks. Now the guys are just two steps of beating their all-time peak of #13 in Germany. The second highest new entry of the week belongs to Keri Hilson, whose two previous collaborations with Timbaland managed to enter the top 10 last year. However, although not a flop, her first proper single for now fails by an inch to chart in the top 20. Still, I'm sure that we'll see more from this lady in future. After the somewhat surprising success of Lily Allen's last single "The Fear" (peak #12) in Germany, it's time its follow-up, the supreme "Not Fair", to also enter the chart. Despite that an entry in the top 30 for a second single is not bad at all, I just wish the song has charted higher. The same can also be said to Flipsyde, whose attempt to not be a one-hit wonder (the excellent "Happy Birthday" being a massive hit in 2006), are met with indifference. The song is good though. And I think that the Sandra and Thomas Anders may be classified as the duet of the year... It's not often when we see two 80s legends join forces in the 2000s... :w00t:
