Posted June 22, 200619 yr Shakira leaps into download chart Top 10 Source: Music week Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie has leaped 30 places into the Top 10 of the download chart, where Nelly Furtado holds on to the top spot. Hips Don’t Lie (Epic) is the highest climber in the download Top 40, moving 37-6. However, it is not enough to dislodge Nelly Furtado’s Maneater (Geffen), which enjoys its second week at the top, as Sandi Thom’s I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (RCA) holds on at two. There are also new entries from Bon Jovi, at five with Who Says You Can’t Go Home (Mercury), The Kooks at 16 with She Moves In Her Own Way (EMI) and Lostprophets at 26, with Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast) on Visible Noise. In addition, there are five football-related releases in the top 40: Three Lions by Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds (Epic) climbs 5-3, Embrace’s official FA anthem World At Your Feet (Independiente) falls 9-15, Mas Que Nada by Sergio Mendes and Black Eyed Peas (Concord) climbs 39-18, Tony Christie’s (Is This The Way To) The World Cup (Gut) falls 21-31 and Hurry Up England by Sham 69 and the Special Assembly (Parlophone) is a new entry at 38.
June 23, 200619 yr I don't understand how Bon Jovi got to #5 when it's not even in the iTunes 100. EDIT; Apparently they've been running a download scam with "Text pins" for free tracks. Because you have to pay for the text it's counted as a sale. Edited June 23, 200619 yr by Ashley
