FREESTYLE motocross champion Carey Hart, the husband of rock star Pink, brings his national tour to the Gold Coast this month.

How is the tour going?

 

The tour is going great so far. We had the first show take off 6000 people were there.

 

What do you love most about being a professional motocross rider?

 

I'm not pigeonholed. I love riding freestyle motocross, but I don't care if it's freestyle or trail riding I love being on a bike.

 

When did you become interested in motocross riding?

 

I got my first motorcycle when I was four and I started racing when I was six I just caught the fever. My dad and both my uncles used to race and so did my grandfather. It's definitely in the family.

 

If you could do any other job, what would it be?

 

Formula One or Moto GP ... I just love racing and speed and jumping and all of it.

 

When was the last time you were embarrassed?

 

I'm constantly putting my foot in my mouth at the wrong time, saying something without really thinking.

 

Which do you wear boxers or briefs?

 

"I actually wear boxer briefs. They're not like big old-man boxers they're snug boxers."

 

You and Pink recently reunited after separating. What do you think matters most in a marriage?

 

You have to have a good foundation. It's all important, but being good friends counts ... . you can't just focus on romance. We have an amazing friendship.
