People do now recognise the girls and although they're not massively established, but they're much much further ahead than the Chavvy Rockers!

I predict the Dolly Rockers won't be around for long.

Just lisetened to Gold Digger (being open minded here and all). What was i thinking? Complete pile of rubbish just like the song with the tacky video set in a tube station.

I'm not a huge fan of the Dolly Rockers, but they're much better than The Saturdays tbh. :/ And they're spot on LOL. No one would have cared if The Saturdays were 5 other people? Would have been the same record. Gold Digger is oomph.

Dolly Rockers don't have that it to make it.

We'll have this "Vs" discussion properly when Dolly Rockers have had 4 top 10 singles and a platinum album.

Because upto now, all I've seen is three northern chavs who are trying to get their names out their by bashing the other, far superior, girlbands.

I wouldn't have used the word chavs, but the lyrics "flash our pants when we can can" and "going down the pub later, fancy it" pretty much speak for themselves.

What is "it" exactly? The Saturdays are some vaguely pretty, glammed up, decent-ish singers who worked with some cheap Euro producers and knocked out some generic ballads and a couple of okay-ish uptempos. They're utterly uninteresting and will leave no mark on music at all. You could have a line-up change and only people on this forum would really notice.

 

Dolly Rockers are dead on with their assessment and it fits with their image; a bit gobby, working class and brassy. They'll make for FAR more interesting pop stars than the Saturdays ever will...

They have a few top 10s? People like their clichéd rubbish. Just because something does well in the charts doesn't mean it's good quality music? Generic music does well all the time. The point is making that they're hardly better than the Dolly Rockers.
