On Twitter: Vanessa White said: "chavvy rockers .....w*n**rs" Rochelle Wiseman said: "Dolly Trotters-aka CHAVS, don't like us but use us for the press..wow..times are hard! Anyway must dash have a sold out tour to prepare for!" Una Healy said: "All I can say is they are certainly no threat after listening to that trash! They even have to" give" their music away!!" Moral of this story: Don't fk with The Saturdays!!
May 29, 200916 yr Think it's because of this: Dolly Rockers’ media training is, however, not due for four more days. Despite this, in many ways, they are managing perfectly well, by (a) turning up to this interview in varying states of inebriation; (b ) deciding that if one of them has an urgent need to interject, she must call out the specially-designated made-up word, “Halabip”; and (c ) saying only things about other artists that might cause offence. Girls Aloud are “unreachable... [with]a look that you could never get close to without a huge entourage”. Pristine female fivesome the Saturdays come off particularly badly (“They could have been five completely different girls and nobody would have given a $h!t”). http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol...icle6381718.ece Go Sats! :D Edited May 29, 200916 yr by Ethereal

May 29, 200916 yr Who are the Dolly Rockers? Seriously, i've heard there name mentioned a few time, do they sing? Slagging off The Sats. How original of them.
May 29, 200916 yr Author Oh sing might be a step too far. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB1qVJVvjFA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GB1qVJVvjFA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> I think its safe to say: The Saturdays 1 Dolly Rockers 0
May 29, 200916 yr The Saturdays are out of their league now, I think. People do now recognise the girls and although they're not massively established, but they're much much further ahead than the Chavvy Rockers!

That was just painful to listen too.
May 29, 200916 yr Dolly Rockers >> Saturdays Have much more personality and idiosyncrasy. For people wanting to know they've signed to a Major i.e. Parlophone and they're releasing 'Gold Digger' in July. Which is CHOONAGE.

May 29, 200916 yr Just lisetened to Gold Digger (being open minded here and all). What was i thinking? Complete pile of rubbish just like the song with the tacky video set in a tube station.
May 29, 200916 yr I'm not a huge fan of the Dolly Rockers, but they're much better than The Saturdays tbh. :/ And they're spot on LOL. No one would have cared if The Saturdays were 5 other people? Would have been the same record. Gold Digger is oomph.
May 29, 200916 yr Dolly Rockers don't have that it to make it. We'll have this "Vs" discussion properly when Dolly Rockers have had 4 top 10 singles and a platinum album. Because upto now, all I've seen is three northern chavs who are trying to get their names out their by bashing the other, far superior, girlbands. I wouldn't have used the word chavs, but the lyrics "flash our pants when we can can" and "going down the pub later, fancy it" pretty much speak for themselves.
May 30, 200916 yr What is "it" exactly? The Saturdays are some vaguely pretty, glammed up, decent-ish singers who worked with some cheap Euro producers and knocked out some generic ballads and a couple of okay-ish uptempos. They're utterly uninteresting and will leave no mark on music at all. You could have a line-up change and only people on this forum would really notice. Dolly Rockers are dead on with their assessment and it fits with their image; a bit gobby, working class and brassy. They'll make for FAR more interesting pop stars than the Saturdays ever will...
May 30, 200916 yr Author ^ Sorry but thats complete bull. I'm a rush so cant elaborate right now :kink: but they are so uninteresting you just happened to stop by their forum :P

Right, so these Dolly Rockers... Well you just described most northern chav women. And they're so unique and interesting that if you changed any of their members people would notice? Think not. And don't you think that if The Saturdays are SO generic, bland and boring that this "okay-ish" music they've "knocked out" has spoken for itself? If the music is crap and they're boring what's sold their music? And it's not their looks, because most females won't buy a song because the girls are pretty. Edited May 30, 200916 yr by Scherz

People like their clichéd rubbish. Just because something does well in the charts doesn't mean it's good quality music? Generic music does well all the time. The point is making that they're hardly better than the Dolly Rockers.
May 30, 200916 yr But they are so uninteresting you just happened to stop by their forum :P Saw the topic in the "active topics" page. It's my first time in this forum.
