It charted on the Billboard Chart as a double-A-side single with "Downtown". It samples Michael Jackson's 1983 hit "Human Nature". The song spent ten weeks at number-one on the US R&B chart, the longest running number-one R&B single of 1993. It peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top ten in Europe. The song peaked at number 3 in the UK Singles Chart in September 1993. The original version of the song, which featured Taj rapping over the bridge, was released in the fourth quarter of 1992, but did not achieve the same success.
