Posted June 1, 200916 yr The Sequel to Twilight, New Moon is in Cinemas in November, and the Official Trailer is now available: 78vIchP9u9I I seriously can't wait! Hope its as good as the first and the book. :D
June 1, 200916 yr it looks soooo good but the trailer looks a lil all over the place... Empty As I Am better be on the damn soundtrack
June 1, 200916 yr New Moon was my favourite book out of the saga, so I hope the movie is extra good. ^_^
June 2, 200916 yr Author My fave book was Breaking Dawn but I think it'll be a while until we see that one at the cinemas
June 2, 200916 yr Frankly, I thought "Twilight" was cliched and boring.... I've read Poppy Brite and Anne Rice, The Vampire Diaries, etc, and obviously I've watched Buffy and Angel.. Twilight really brought nothing new or interesting to the whole "vampire" mythos, unlike the recent Beeb series "Being Human" which somehow breathed new life into the old cliches... I'd advise you guys to invest your time instead with "Blood - The Last Vampire" (well, the Manga certainly, not sure about the upcoming live action version...), which is rather entertaining..
June 2, 200916 yr i can't really call it because i've never read the books or seen the film but i don't feel like i'm missing out judging by the clips that i've seen. and that new trailer doesn't do anything for me either. must be an acquired taste..

I saw the film, believe me, you aint missing out on much.... Especially if you've read Anne Rice or seen Buffy.... The film seemed quite "made for TV" in some ways too, I thought....
June 2, 200916 yr When it comes to cliches Buffy is far more cliche, the vampires all being killed with steaks of wood and having fangs?
June 2, 200916 yr I seriously can't wait! The one thing I don't like about the books is that it's so romance orientated and the drama is sort of watered down or not seen from a first person basis. They seem to be altering that with the movies. Oooh tinglesss.
June 2, 200916 yr Well I watched the first film the other day and thought it was an odd film, but nevertheless it was an easy-watch and I found it quite enjoyable. It seemed like they built up the raport with the characters very quickly, which made them relateable right from the off. The only thing that's kind of putting me off (as somebody who hasn't read the books...) is that in the trailer for the 2nd film it basically looks like they've destroyed the romance between Edward and Bella, Edward has vanished because he doesn't want to hurt her and now she seems to have moved onto this werewolf and now she's with him and Edward is history? Obviously like I said I haven't read the books, but it looks like they've just destroyed the first film and are starting from scratch with the 2nd. Someone please tell me this is not the case? :(

June 3, 200916 yr When it comes to cliches Buffy is far more cliche, the vampires all being killed with steaks of wood and having fangs? GAWD, talk about totally missing the point of Buffy mate.....ROFLMAO.... Buffy makes FUN of the cliches and conventions, and completely turns them on their head.... Buffy is wry, witty, intelligent, ironic and extremely well thought out... ie, it's everything that Twilight isn't.....

Someone please tell me this is not the case? :( yeah, cos obviously that's exactly what a young girl would do innit...? "My vampire boyfriend doesn't like me anymore, so I'll go out with a werewolf instead"... I mean, WTF....??? What an absolute CROCK OF $h!t..... Did the writer of these books just have a fukkin' checklist or summat....? Or did she read "Anne Rice/Poppy Brite for Dummies" before putting finger to keyboard.....? Twilight is to Horror/Vampire literature what Eragon is to Fantasy literature..... Cliched, watered down, badly conceptualised bollocks..... <_<
June 3, 200916 yr ^I dont think she does go out with a werewolf.. I think thats just assuming from the trailer  But i dunno i havent read the book so i cant talk but i do know that The guy who is the werewolf is very protective of her even as a friend and also theres all the mythology surrounding Forks and the werewolves and vampires from the first film
June 3, 200916 yr I haven't read the books, but know many people who have ... basically the werewolf thing is as Joao suggested: the vampire clan and the werewolf group are enemies, and both think that Bella needs saving from the other. I don't believe Bella has a relationship with Jacob (who by the way, is looking fierce in that trailer), but he's definitely protective over her in the context of her relationship with Edward I'm not really fussed one way or another about Twilight. Bearable enough ... but Being Human = Best thing on British TV in a long time IMO.
June 22, 200916 yr im soooo excited for new moon. like, twilight i doubt it will be any where near as good as the book buut i love seeing the character transformed onto film. definitely will be attending the midnight show!
