November 29, 200915 yr Taylor is an actual farmyard animal and the soundtrack was so bad compared with Twilight!
November 29, 200915 yr This soundtrack was BY FAR better than the original. Much more moody and professional. Thom Yorke actually worked in this one whereas Radiohead's inclusion in the first one felt incredibly bizarre considering the rest of the soundtrack was filled with acts that 10 year old Hot Topic shoppers listen to. And Taylor is HOTTTT. I don't get the hate tbh. You must have ridiculously high standards or something because he is fitttt imo.
November 29, 200915 yr Actually I tend to find the strangest people attractive :heehee: I don't really have standards at all. But Taylor is not pretty. La Swift is too good for him! For me the soundtrack to the first was more fitting - the songs chosen for certain scenes all felt like very natural choices. I just didn't warm to this one. It wasn't as bad as the score though, which went from sensational in Twilight (Bella's Theme which Edward plays on the piano is uh-mazing) to utterly dull crap this time around...
November 29, 200915 yr If Talyor Swift is too good for him, I'll gladly take him LOL. Mmm mm. <3 I didn't care for the orchestral pieces in either film tbh. But I loveddd Lykke Li, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, and Thom Yorke's contributions to the New Moon soundtrack. <3
November 29, 200915 yr I'm not a massive Buffy person anyway, but thats what Scott is debating (although i'm pretty sure with Buffy romance does pay quite a part, like hasnt she dated a fair few vampires? and also, what i most remember about Buffy [probaly due to me being a man] is that she once had a lesbian relationship [in the comics that is] but yeah, i'm no Buffy expert so i'll leave that to Scott) so yeah I dont know how comparable Buffy is to Twilight. Willow was the lesbian character really, although before this she had a relationship with Oz, who was a Werewolf.... I didn't actually know too much about whatever "fling" Buffy may have had cos I didn't read the comics too much tbh.... But, the whole big, tragic romance with the character Angel was incredibly important to the show, and set several different plot-arcs off, and, like Bella, Buffy didn't view Angel's Vampire-ness as having much bearing on her feelings for him, well, until of course it then DID become a major plot issue when Angel lost his "soul" after falling in love with her... Then the Buffster had a romance with Spike, which was another important plot arc.... The similarities in plotting between Buffy and Twilight is obvious (all a bit TOO obvious really), especially the way the romances are actually defined.... Although, it has to be said, Buffy had far stronger plotting than Twilight does. Joss Whedon clearly thought a lot more about what he was doing... Twilight just comes across like a cheap knock-off, like one of those "Rolex" watches you get in dodgy markets..... I guess we can view this as a Hybrid... Or, more like, "Mills and Boon" with Vampires in reality.... But in making Edward a Vampire, it kind of DOES have major plot and theme implications, like it or not, which is my whole point really.....
December 1, 200915 yr I saw this today and though it was excellent although both me and my brother agreed that it wasn't as good as Twilight and I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed reading the book. Plus I felt that they cut so much out that if I hadn't only just finished the book at the weekend I probably wouldn't be too sure what was going on for a lot of it. A good effort though and I'm looking forward to Eclipse (I'll be reading the book over the christmas holidays).
December 18, 200915 yr Thought this movie was amazing (better than the first), but the soundtrack isn't as good as the Twilight soundtrack. Can't have it both ways, I suppose. But "A White Demon Love Song" by The Killers [played during the credits] is amazing. "Meet Me On The Equinox" not quite as good as "Decode".
