Posted June 1, 200916 yr Well, it is the time for the spoiler thread! As i don't see TT live this tour i hope you will bring here a lot of news. I think we can post also the newspaper links here? People, don't come in, if you don't want to read it! At the moment, the only spoilers are a partial song list. I find it not quite very surprising - apart for one song that is.
June 1, 200916 yr That's a good idea to keep all tour related stuff here Iris. I've seen some stuff about and I'll put it in here when I get a moment. Norma
June 1, 200916 yr The Biggest Show Yet http://www.whatsonne.co.uk/gb/music/news/t...ggest-shows-yet Take That: Our biggest shows yet Gordon Barr, Evening Gazette On May 29, 2009 WITH just one week until the start of Take That: The Circus Live tour, 59 branded trucks left the band’s top-secret rehearsal location. Carrying the staging, lights and set north, they headed towards Sunderland’s Stadium of Light. Travelling in convoy, the trucks stopped traffic and amazed onlookers as they wound their way along the country roads towards the A1. Take That kick off their monumental 20-date summer tour on June 5 on Wearside. They will then travel to Coventry, Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester, before ending with four sell-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in July. Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark will play to more than one million people along the way – making this the biggest tour the band have ever undertaken. As well as the opening night, Take That will perform a second show at the Stadium of Light the following evening and Jason Orange told the Chronicle he is thrilled. “Everybody says in these interviews ‘wouldn’t you have rather started at Wembley or Manchester?’ he said. “We’re not bothered about that. We’ve always had fantastic support and the further north you go in our country, the more electric the audience is. “I don’t need to say this, but the North East fans have always been electric and some of our best supporters. “We can’t wait to get there.” Jason is no stranger to the region. His mum ran the Rosie Malone pub in South Shields for about five years. “I was up there a few times. I loved it,” he said. It is Take That’s first full-scale stadium tour, having played Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena four times since reforming in 2005. Jason admitted all four members of the band are not taking their success for granted second-time round. “It’s just life I suppose. Every time you think you’ve got a hold on life and how it works it always surprises you,” he reflected. “In this instance it surprised us in the most wonderful way possible. “On one of the last nights on our previous tour, the promoter said if we did another one it might be a good idea to do stadiums. “It is easier for us as you work less and get to see more people. “It is a change from arenas. We did maybe 50 arena dates last time. “To do stadiums this time is a different environment and a different challenge.” One of those challenges, he admitted, was topping their previous shows. With 59 trucks heading to the Stadium of Light, that shouldn’t be a problem. “In a stadium area we can have a bigger facility and a bigger production,” he explained. “It is always a challenge improving on the last time. “We’ve never been afraid to spend the money and I suppose the trick this time is doing the research and choosing the right people to be able to put us together a huge stadium show, but without it turning into something ridiculous.” “All of us are really looking forward to getting back on the road again. “We can think of no better way to thank everyone for their support and loyalty over the past few years. “This will be the biggest tour we’ve ever done and we’ve been working especially hard over the last few months to make it the best and most exciting Take That tour yet.” Norma Edited June 1, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers

I hope they're not doing What Is Love - it is total rubbish - I'd much rather have some Beautiful World songs! I actually had a dream about the tour the other night and they ended the set with a medley of Mark lead-songs! Norma
June 2, 200916 yr the circus tracks will be heavily pushed as the will want the album promoted i wonder will they feature b sides??
June 2, 200916 yr the circus tracks will be heavily pushed as the will want the album promoted i wonder will they feature b sides?? I honestly don't think so! The B sides this time have been particularly poor - especially '84 (which I really wanted to like as it is Jason. He does have a good voice but since Wooden Boat (which I Adore) the songs he's been given have been so 'breathy' and hurried they make me nervous. I've no idea what I want on the set-list - but I do hope that at least 30% of it is from first time round ... i.e. I want to hear Pray, Back For Good, Never Forget, Relight My Fire and maybe, just maybe - Babe (I've heard they've done a C&W version that is really unique and I'd like to hear it now - after years of hating the song). Norma
June 2, 200916 yr they will definitly have some of the old hits like back for good and never forget id be hugely shocked if they didnt but i would say the circus material will take 50% of the set least at theleast which i would be happy with as there are so many songs on the album i adore..i really must add im getting to love the circus more and more and for me its miles better than beautiful world now...if rule the world wa son the circus album beautiful world wouldnt be a patch on it for me
June 2, 200916 yr Pete - I've just read on the TT forum from someone who's been listening to the rehearsals. You'll be glad to know that 'A Million Love Songs' was mentioned (although it makes me a bit sick really). The person posting says she heard - Greatest Day, Magic (never heard of it), Hello (YUK), Pray (great) - I really hope it is better than this! This is not good boding! Norma
June 2, 200916 yr Magic might be short for Could It Be Magic - I hope it is, love that song. I'm so excited, just hope I can see ok - I have restriced viewing apparently, but beggars can't be choosers right?

June 5, 200916 yr Newsbeat interview with Gary. http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/music/ne...000/8083783.stm Pete - I doubt they'll do I'd Wait For Life. I should imagine they'll have to do the title song from the album The Circus - which is way, way better than IWFL (although to all intents & purposes it is a solo song). I think they will do Julie - I can see at least four Mark lead songs - including Julie (although I hate it - I'm sure it'll be done) and Shine. I'm so hoping that they'll do Hold Up A Light as I really, really like this Mark led song now. They'll obviously do Up All Night and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the closing song. Having said all that - I'll know (from one of the other TT sites) tonight what the set list is - and I'll post it (with a spoiler) if anyone's interested. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll do 'She Said' but I've a feeling if they are ... they'll probably save it for just the last one or two nights. June 5, 200916 yr Author Having said all that - I'll know (from one of the other TT sites) tonight what the set list is - and I'll post it (with a spoiler) if anyone's interested. Norma Well, please post it! :cheer: Since then do you hate again Julie? I thought you like it now a little :teresa: . *Spoiler: I understand that they will close with HUAL  *
June 5, 200916 yr Well, please post it! :cheer: Since then do you hate again Julie? I thought you like it now a little :teresa: . *Spoiler: I understand that they will close with HUAL  * No - I've never changed my opinion on it! For me it is the second worst song on the album after What Is Love. It was Hello that I was coming around to liking (although one of the lyrics in that is a bit annoying). Hold Up A Light is fast becoming my third favourite on the album! Norma
