THAT was an excellent and fair review in my opinion and i like how they mention they are not supposed to be a proper band and i think that is the lement that is shocking people as this tour is proving more and more that take that are not a typical boyband and in fact are coming more and more like "A PROPER BAND" but we knew they were already a proper band who are up there with the best of them.
As I've said to Pete - I'll have to post the rest of my review when its a bit cooler (honestly my fingers are slipping all over the keyboard - sweat is just pouring out of my fingertips!) I am going to post a few piccies though. And to hell with it - dog or no dog - here's me with Gary Go!

You're certainly no dog, Norma...in fact, far from it.....a most handsome woman you are, in my opinion..... :D

I have to agree with everyone else, Norma. That is a great picture and you look wonderful! I have noticed the comments you make about your age and I have to say, you look much younger than what I had imagined. I don't know if I worded that right but it is supposed to be a compliment!

That black jacket and those big glasses don't really suit me though!

He does look like he should be at a computer help-desk doesn't he? His music is quite 'techie' though! I find him attractive in a geeky sort of way!

Maybe I could get him to have a look at my computer here, since it wants to give me fits lately.....and I'm technologically inept as it is, anyhow....

Right ... back to my review!

After the accoustic set - which was nice ... but not my favourite bit! Gary did a little solo!

He approached the keyboard and did something that he had only done on a couple of the sets before (certainly not on the Friday and Saturday). He played some snippets of a few 'way back' songs. He dabbled with a chorus of Love Ain't Here Anymore, drifted into Babe and then ... he did a song that ... until now I've not considered much ... Nobody Else! It was lovely ... as I say, he only did a few bars of each before falling into the song that is the title of the tour .... The Circus! Now I know that this isn't most people's favourite song on the album ... but it is a truly beautiful song performed with excellence. As you've probably guessed ... each part of this show has been accompanied by some sort of circus act and this song was accompanied by a solitary tightrope walker going from Gary's point on the piano (directly in front of the main stage) across to the centre of the B stage. There were a few 'intentional' wobbles which added to the theatre of the night - as no safety nets were used ... but it was singularly beautiful.

This song closed this section of the show and then it moved on to a bit that I really didn't think I'd enjoy ... but for me it was one of the highlights of the night. I'll be back tomorrow to post on the 'medley'.

Very nice review, Norma.... :)

Sorry its taking so long to get through this bloody review ... but it is still so bloomin' hot here! I can't concentrate for long and have to keep looking at my photos to remember at what point I'm at! Tomorrow's bit of the review will be particularly pleasing to Pete!

Norma

yes indeed, as i know its gonna be a great review and a realistic one as its coming from a very open minded fan who isnt afraid to say negative aswell as positive things about take that
My aunt went to see Take That last night in London i think she said, she was bringing her 14 year old daughter who wanted to go, my aunt was never a huge take that fan but she rang me today and said she couldnt believe how good they are live, my aunt is a huge westlife fan and she said westlife dont compare at all when it comes to concerts, she saaid she had a brilliant night and she alaso had high praise for the script, she said the crowd loved them and they were great live, again she didnt know the script were irish as she is from ireland herself, she went of this morning and bought the scripts album and take thats ultimate collection beauiful world and the circus as they had only downloaded singles from take that but never bought albums, i was very happy she went to see them as not really a fan and came home a huge fan and ended up buying take that albums for the first time.

I've got such a headache at the moment so won't write a full review like Norma has, but I really felt that I needed to say that I have seen the following artists in concert:

Destiny's Child

Beyonce

Christina Aguilera

Anastacia

Scissor Sisters

Black Eyed Peas

Enrique Iglesias

Girls Aloud

James Morrison

Justin Timberlake

Kelly Clarkson

Leona Lewis

Pink

Snow Patrol

Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Spice Girls

The Saturdays

Blue

Katy Perry and

Madonna

And none of them even came close to being as good as Take That on Friday. Easily the BEST concert I've EVER been too and the Script were brilliant as well. Can't wait for the DVD!! :D
