the times was indeed a pecular reviews they gave it great rating but kinda scathed it at the same time i didnt like the following paragraph

Songs from current album The Circus were more hit and miss – a run of bland ballads was greeted with a rush for the bar, but the Beatles-y Hello went down well, as did Up All Night, during which the four played like a regular rock band (with Howard on drums, Jason and Mark on guitar and Gary at piano), albeit a rock band looking like a cross between Village People and Richard Gere in the cheesy scene in Officer And A Gentleman.

But for The Times ... that was a good review. They always look down their noses at Take That so for them to give them four stars out of five is great for me!

Hehe Norma, when you think like that  ...

I think with this Tour TT has a big chance to be nominated to the next Brits for Live Show and perhaps to win it? They will be against Oasis and GA for sure (and the GA fans are very dedicated one .

I don't mind who wins the Brit for next year to be honest. In fact - I don't care if Take That never win another Brit again ... as far as I'm concerned ... they are the best. You're right - I think GA will do well at the awards next year ... good on them ... I've heard their show was good. I don't think anything will beat this Take That Circus Show for sheer entertainment though! I can't wait to see them on 26th in Manchester.

The thing I did like about the Times review though - was the point made about Mark, Gary, Howard and Jason's attitude this time. With UT & BW tours - they seemed absolutely gobsmacked that so many people wanted to see them and that they actually were still wanted. This time ... I think it has finally sunk in with them themselves ... that the reason they're wanted is ... they're bloody good. Its nothing to do with nostalgia, or girlie infatuation. More and more blokes are going to the shows. I'm still on the look-out for tickets for my boss - he says he HAS to see them!

ya i agree i definitly think this time the lads will enjoy more as they know noe they are accepted and have a very wide fan base they are not around still because of the old material etc they are around and appreciated for the work they have delivered since their return. With the beautiful world album they may have felt a little of people may bought this on nostalgia ground but with the circius it was bought on the amazing work they did since the return so in that way they themselves will probably enjoy this tour alot more plus the great revies will boost them aswell...what amazes me with take that is they are so huge but they dont realise it at all
I live over the road and we are wearside not tyneside

Sorry pal! But I'm sure you'd probably make a faux pas with people from the Northwest ... so I guess we're even! For instance - I bet you can't tell a Bury accent from a Manchester one can you?

Having said that ... my own faux pas vis-a-vis people from the North East has brought another 'outsider' into our midst - however briefly! Where did he say he was from again?

At least the Guardian has nice words: http://www.newsguardian.co.uk/entertainmen...dium.5342107.jp and they are also not soo keen on giving high marks to TT ! :naughty:

Thats a local Guardian from the region - not the national one Iris. Believe you me, The Guardian or The Observer will give them a crap review no matter what. I think the guys would have to sacrifice themselves to get a word of praise out of The Guardian. Like I said - that review in The Times is great. That'll be the only 'proper' paper (in other words - snotty-faced paper) that will have given them a good review.

Apparently the second night at Sunderland was fantastic - and the weather was good according to reports. There are some fabulous pictures and videos on the Take That TV site Iris!

LOL; i didn't do too much today but looking after videos from tour. I have still not found quality videos with Up all night , but i saw one of Wooden Boat and at the end Mark sing together with Jason - it really sounds like Simon and Garfunkel = absolutly lovely  .

I start to have a little bit better opinion over What is love (but only because the show, i still find no need to hear it , gutted they don't sing Here). Hello is briiliant with all Magritte-men (http://api.ning.com/files/hxXKPsUiR2R7G4ZzXF2zeRow1ZF9mjgp8WcTqbUZbVuhchWW98Iudo7uhFrEdSxaUDJ7WxPREi0TbMksQk-e5j7fxLFI6sQG/MagritteIlMisterodellaNatura.jpg). Somehow Mark put a spell on whole cast = they have all hats  . I am not very keen on the old songs and dancing , at least they do that as clowns  - i miss an amazing reworking of an old song as they do with that house number in BW tour or with Apache on UT. Relight my fire is too much for me with that creepy clown (but i liked only on BW tour, it was brill as a vodoo scene). Shine has amazing visuals, HUAL and Rule the world are amazing! Not to forget the elephant :cheer: !

I've managed to get tickets for Friday night in Manchester (26th June) and I'm taking my son. We've been listening to the CD today on the way to Liverpool. We both love Hold Up A Light!
