Hey, Norma, how did pub quiz night go for you last night??

We didn't win anything but we were close. There was only me and my sis-in-law on our team - all the other teams had 5-6 members! We didn't disgrace ourselves though. There were about five rounds and we came 2nd and 3rd (out of 10 teams).

Nice!!!

Might be going again this Thursday - and I've been swotting! I'm so annoyed at the music rounds though. After being on BJ for a few years - I'm fairly OK with modern music (even if I don't like some of it - I know who the artists are and what songs, etc) but wouldn't you know - the music quiz so far has been stuff from the past (and the 90's passed me by completely - I just was not into music at all back then - apart from fancying Noel Gallagher!)

80's 90's and 00's would be definitly be my strongest era's

For me - its late 60's, most of the 70's, quite a bit of the 80's and a fair bit of the 00's - it was just the 90's decade that passed me by! Probably because I had a job that I really, really like (so much that I'd take it home with me) and we were living down south where I had lots of friends - so I went out virtually every night!

when im at work well especially in the 90;s we would always have the radio playing loudly in the kitchen so i used to keep all up to date with music and along with that i have always religiously followed the charts since the late 80's up to the present day so it keeps me fairly up to date

I really don't like the radio on at work. I know that sounds prudish - and if others want it on I wouldn't complain - but I don't like it. Never have!

Sounds like we're one heck of a music-loving group.....of different eras, to be sure.... :) :)
Of course, the thing is, me getting a passport, and flying over there to do it.....

or me getting one to fly over there, my passport ran out in the last few weeks and i know im going nowhere outside ireland until at least next summer so i said i would leave renewing it until next year as no point renewing it when i wont use it,
Maybe we could do a conference call....

Maybe we should just test each other with some simple music questions ... right here!

Goes away to think of a question that is fair and even for an American, an Irishman and a Scouse Woman!
