I imagine that's people putting their own reasons in, but given that regardless what I decide it will be the wrong decision I'm just going to reassure you that this decision has nothing to do with the fact that Tom is a moderator. Let's not forget that Bokia missed contests before when he was mod...we would've done the same had it been any country that's entered before, given that it wasn't exactly shouted from the rooftops and Tom hasn't really posted here for a few days and as such probably wouldn't have noticed...

Well.. then it's unfair for him too.. if Bokia missed the contest when he was a mod, so did Tom now... I have nothing against Tom, I just think it should be fair..

No, that's the point I was making - this contest was the exception because the dates were changed! ;) Given Tom came up with the dates it's likely he assumed they would hold, Phil and I thought he would have noticed...

Right, can I just take the time to announce a compromise? How about we open the semi-final thread now, draw semi-finals and allow the voters of the semi-final without the Kingdom of Shadow to vote, give them a recap etc., and have the songs available to listen for the other semi-final but don't allow them to vote yet nor put up a recap until this situation has been confirmed...given most people don't vote in the first day, I can't see why that would be too much of an inconvenience. If we place Quotosibb in the same semi as the Kingdom of Shadow so that they can autoqualify/remain in the semi (depending on numbers, can I get a confirmation on that James?) if Tom hasn't confirmed by 9pm tomorrow evening, then I don't see any reason against it - at the very least it should give those in Tom's semi time to consider their voting fully! :P Sound fair enough to most?

Hopefully I can still confirm, if not, i'll wait until next time :P

it is censored but if you use a different font for one letter it won't be recognised. That's why it's not censored like this: f***.

i say the compromise sounds fair then, will stop the complainging and tom can still confirm later.
IIRC, Tom did note in the Green Room achknowledgment of the date change..

We let the person running the contest each month decide the dates which best suit them which is why we do not dictate when each contest is each month. I thought James was doing his A-Levels atm so not 100% sure he would want the contest any earlier (I've got exams too! -_- ) so the later the better for me. but whatever is best for James

Right, OK James! :D If KoS haven't confirmed by 9pm tomorrow, Quotosibb will move into their semi and replace them, giving us two AQs (Mdice and Torchwood), and 13 qualifiers from 23 semi-finalists regardless of KoS's participation. I like it at this level! ^_^ Means we don't have to make contingency plans for if/when we break the 53-country barrier :drama:
