To be honest this debate is never really going to end; Britney has nothing to proove. Many have stated that if she did sing live she'd be all breathy and it wouldn't sound too good and then people would be complaining at how "Britney can't sing live for $h!t, how can anyone like her?"; which is something used frequently against Katy Perry & Rihanna.

It's safe to say both of those people have a great deal more respect for actually bothering to sing live. When it comes down to it I really don't see the point of Britney... she can't sing, she doesn't even attempt to sing live, she has no input into her actual music, she has no personality, she's pretty unintelligent... what is there about her except for being good looking and having catchy songs which are handed to her on a plate?

I wasn't so impressed with Amy Lee's vocals when I saw Evanescence live a few years back, but I never went away saying she was lousy faker and vow never to listen to Ev again..... A slightly below par performance is always gonna be better than a faked one.....

 

As for these "Britney has nothing to prove" argument... What a crock.... She has plenty to prove to HERSELF as an artist surely... Sorry, but if she's really that jaded and complacent and totally passionless about her music and about her performance, then she needs to get another career..... The likes of Madonna, Kylie and Rolling Stones have "nothing to prove" to anyone either, but they prove to themselves that they still have the PASSION to get out there and do a good show..... Britney clearly has no passion....

Unfortunately, your very wrong. She does attempt to sing, she has a lot of input into her msuic and how do you know she has no personality? Because she won't do interviews where people will grill her about her personal life? Again, how can you state she's unintelligent?

Damn Britney for showing contempt for her fans Dinno..... I mean, come on dude, what's with the delusions you people have....? Her influence and her leadership in Popular Music is absolutely without question, her achievements in a quarter century in the business are second to none, so, in that sense, she really HAS nothing to prove, because she's literally done it all and bought the T-shirt..... And on the madonna point even though im not a huge fan i do agree her older material was far better but thats not the point madonna as an artist has done a hell of alot and could in no way be compared to britney. Madonna has proven beyond doubt what she is made of both to fans, the industry itself and more importantly herself and like many of you said i agree the only person she probably ha sto prove anything to is herself as love er music or hate it she is one hell of an artist who has done so much in her career and open the fields for so many people to follow.

That's probably because everyone in the audience was screaming in excitement over her being in the same room as her, causing her not to hear. Watch the video and the crowd get really loud after "So, what do you think..." So she was probably just assuming he asked about London.

Have you actually done your research on me? OR Britney, for that matter. I have never said I LIKED that she lip synced, but regardless the show her and her dancers put on is amazing, watch the f***ing videos and realize that she still puts ALOT of work into her tours, from co-producing to helping with costumes, etc. Just because you don't see something from someone else's perspective does not make them DELUDED. And to say that your post was a bit facetious is an understatement.

 

The fact Britney continues to put out music makes me happy, I'm not looking for a cookie and a personal note from her everytime I purchase merchandise from her brand. And just because she doesn't sing all her songs live does not mean she doesn't appreciate her fans.

Of course she's simple. I'm not trying to say Britney is the Einstein of pop music, but she's not as dumb as people think she is... She has an average intelligence, give or take at best. But she is also beautiful and has an appealing personality and she has extreme talent, talent that I recognize. Others may not, and that's fine.

 

But to personally attack a group of people for liking an artist is ridiculous and I find it highly offensive.
