the Serena-maneesh album has been getting good reviews today in the paper 4/5 from both the guardian and independent. and pushing all the cool band buttons as the reviews compare them to Velvet Underground, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and mary chain. probably the coolest influences from bands from the 60s to the 90s that any band could have in the eyes of the rock press.

 

think they are one to have a look at.

The album starts off well - very well, in fact - but it becomes very boring very quickly.

 

Might give it another go though. I like the single a lot.
