said it all sold nearly 5,000 this week which is quite good and the circus sold just over 9,100 this week

Are we still confident it'll make the top 20 this Sunday? Its cutting it fine isn't it? Fingers crossed they'll just scrape in. Good to see how the album has done. On the Sales Update theirs is the only album with a 50% rise in sales from the previous week.

Number 4 in todays midweeks although some data missing, i think with them been number 4 they at worst are in a very safe top 20 come sunday,id be totally shocked if it stays top 5 but id be happy if it did, the tour, jonathon ross perfromance, excellent phyiscal release though could really make the single stand up very well plus they have been getting guge press coverage and all positive so said it all may well surprise us,i really like said it all but prefer up all night i would have prfered up all night to have been a top 10 hit and said it all a top 20 but its great to see them doing well.

The album is top 10 in the midweeks which i am more than thrilled about,

The iTunes pass is well worth it. People keep putting bits of it up on youtube but it quickly gets taken down. The quality directly via iTunes is far better anyway. If I only had one choice - to buy the singles - or the pass - I'd buy the pass.

After a think about it I think I'll go with the iTunes pass if I go for either. iTunes formats bother me because I tend to need to convert them but that irks me less than Play.com who have messed up on my last few orders (months late with one, sent the wrong item last time I bought from them).

I'm also annoying that Take That B-Sides seem to be getting rarer... I used to be able to buy the B-Side with the single as downloads but 84 was on the physical CD and it seems that Throwing Stones is only available on CD too, unless I'm mistaken. I love to get my albums on CD but I only end up putting single songs on my computer anyway.

If you like The Last Shwadow Puppets and the 70' retro movement, you may also like this song - B-side of Said it all : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iLSBj68-Fc

I was not sure bout the beginning, but after 25 sec i adore it! :cheer:

Thanks for that! I'll give it a few more listens but I like it too.

I listened to it in full this morning in the car and I must say I don't know what to make of it. Its better than 84 (which was dreadful anyway so that isn't much of a recommendation) but it needs another couple of plays. Its a bit too old-fashioned sounding for me ... and something that a local band would play in the pub on a Saturday night (a good local band like, but nothing special). And it isn't because Mark is singing - I'm actually quite fond of his 'angst' ridden voice. I think thats the problem really - his voice isn't 'angst' ridden enough in this song.

Hi Pete - just edited the first page to not give an exact position (in case we get told off by 'them upstairs') You know ... global mods!

Back to the subject - I think there is a lot of data missing, there's no way they're as high as that - even with good physical sales. Still good though, it looks like it'll enter higher on Sunday than I first thought - but not as high as the mid-weeks suggest.

ya i forgot that we aint allowed post exact positions, ya i cant see it holding that high but its a safe top 20 hit at worst which is great looks like the album will do well this week and im hoping they gain some fathers day sales aswell

I won´t give my hopes to high that they stay in the top 20 after the missing dates are back. Th single isn´t even mention on itunes - just as a normal album track, so I wonder if they have a kind of exclusive deal with play.com about that aswell?

They don´t seem to bother anymore with the single chart position, might just be in the contract or getting more people to buy the album as you don´t need to pay that much more to get that.

The itunes pass is it worth I think, you get the three live songs, the videos which are really great

I think todays midweeks are accurate and take that are still top 10 and definitly no lower than number 8 as lady gaga i slisted as number 9,so its a safe top 20 position for them now i think, the album is now top 15 though and it was top 10 in yesterdays update. I agree they dont seem to be bothered about single positions now all focus is on the album and tours, but they know they have nothing to prove to anyone only whatever goals they like to achieve themselves as right now they are one of the biggest if not the biggest band in the UK and that is some achievment especially when no one evr though tthey could pull off such a huge comeback.

I know it doesn't sound so "big", but as a garage song, perhaps that is why i like it. I tend to connect with this kind of "little" songs. It is an old fashionated dance song  , like She said. Love both.

And if you likes his "angst" voice, try to hear these songs (both are between my fav ): we can choose between live

and album versions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx5uwVotwCM...feature=related and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj0kA37xDuM  .

SAID IT all to be fair got alot lot more promo that up all night if the same amount had gone into up all night it would have gone top 10
For a 3rd single off a really popular album I'd say Said It All has done great. It wasn't my favourite from the album, but it's a grower.

I disagree! If anything SIA had less promotion. There was the 'making of the video' which was about six weeks before the physical release so in effect was wasted promo. And then there was the JR program. Up All Night on the other hand had a 'making of', Comic Relief, and Ant & Dec (and with an Audience of around 16,000 A&D is about double the worth of Jonathon Ross!) And you can't blame lack of airplay - I heard UAN far more on the radio than I've heard SIA. One of the huge errors of UAN was the awful video. The video for SIA is classy and really well made. And, for some reason, the majority of record buying public just didn't like Up All Night!

Having said that ... as far as I'm concerned - Up All Night is the better song.

It indeed did well - it far outperformed my chart expectations of it! I thought it may make the top 20 but top 10 is fab. It'll drop quite a bit next week though, but I should imagine it'll stay in the top 75 for a good few weeks yet!

im so happy it has made top 10 and made a single number digit aswell plus its their very first number 9 peak(thats if it doesnt climb which wont happen)

9 Take That 27,564 (YTD 39,451)

Its sales are very impressive and it has indeed done great for a 3rd single from an album that has sold so well, its done much better than the third release of beautiful world aswell which is great. I agree on up all night i much prefer up all night myself and i would have prefered up all night to have been a top 10 hit rather than said it all but we cant change that. Said it all will no doubt drop quite a few places next week but i hope it can manage at least a 10 week run in the top 75.

   This is true! I think everyone who has played so far in Ben's Chart Prediction Game for 28th June has predicted for the first bonus points that Said It All will have the most massive drop in the top 75! I don't have any argument with them.

Norma

Said It All needs a bit of help in the top ten shuffle game in the main chart thread! Yes its a bit of fun!
