June 8, 200916 yr actually i should be, i rate them very highly but never followed through and investigated them further .... so my knowlege remains at 'singles' level. they were a great, iconic, original act as you say (tip) fusing rock, folk and blues to create some class tracks love the line "lend me your ear while i call you a fool"
June 8, 200916 yr Some other songs I like from Tull are Locomotive Breath, Motor Eyes, Skating Away (On The Thin Ice Of A New Day), Nursie......
June 8, 200916 yr To be honest Ian Anderson's singing style really annoyed me, although Witch's Promise and Living in the past were good songs.
June 19, 200916 yr Regardless of their music, they'll probably best be remembered for their farcical victory of 'Best Rock/Metal Album' over Metallica's ...And Justice For All album back in the late 80s.
