June 6, 200916 yr Author Four Other Key Songs (He has had too many to mention): Rocket Man (1972 UK#2, 1973 USA#6) Crocodile Rock (1972 UK#5, 1973 USA#1) (duet with Kiki Dee) Don't Go Breaking My Heart (1976 UK#1, USA#1) Candle In The Wind 1997 (1974 UK#11, 1988 live UK#5, USA#6, 1997 UK#1, USA#1) Are you fans of Reginald Dwight, or do you prefer the American "Piano Man" Billy Joel?
June 8, 200916 yr never really liked him at all. ok he was 'ok' at best but mainly i thought it was quite odd that a bloke at a piano could be so popular. 'your song' was my fav i think... though 'step into christmas' was another i quite liked. nope i dont prefer billy joel, but gilbert o'sullivan WAS better! imho. (but not by much)
June 8, 200916 yr Seen Elton live before and he is the ultimate showman really good performer Am not a masive fan of his music but I like stuff like The Bitch Is Back, Tiny Dancer, I'm Still Standing, Philadelphia Freedom, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting and so on, the heavier stuff Edited June 8, 200916 yr by B.A Baracus
June 8, 200916 yr Your Song & Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word are fantastic, anything else doesn't really appeal to me.

Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised with the performance. Edited June 8, 200916 yr by Sparkle

I also saw him, early 90s and he certainly is a great showman.
June 8, 200916 yr You either love him or hate him, a bit like marmite really. I liked most of his songs up to about 1975, then hardly any apart from the odd track here or there. Your Song, Rocket Man, The bitch is back, Saturday nights alright for fighting were my stand out songs. Crocodile Rock, Island girl were passible, but from "Don't go breaking my heart" onwards  Edited June 8, 200916 yr by brian91
