As for the women - as long as it's not either of the monster Williams sisters I'm not really bothered who wins.

I always try to avoid these two.

I really want Ana Ivanovic to win the womens, she so deserves it but she's off form and fallen out the top 10 recently after being no.1 for so long last year.. Kuznetsova and the Williams Sisters seriously need to take a hike, they've all had their share of fame.. Ivanovic ftw

Although I wouldn't mind Wozniacki or Azarenka winning either, Dementieva too - as long as she's been around she's always an interesting player.. Adore her but like Nick said quite off-form..

Can't stand Safina or Zvonareva, so dull and annoying. =/ Both pretty inconsistant, along with Jankovic, consistancy really is vital and on all surfaces..

I really can't see past Serena or Venus this year. The rest of the top women are either a) not proven on grass or B) struggling with their form.
^ Wozniacki and Azarenka would be their competition then. Both on form and good on grass, and both in the top 10 atm - a Sharapova-like win for either of them is very likely imo. Would HATE to see the Williams sisters win once again so hopefuly Azarenka and Wozniacki do stop them. . I'd think they're the only possibilities who could :o

Sharapova would still get into Wimbledon even if she didn't make the cut due to protected rankings. And Grass is where Murray has a good chance of winning.

Im hoping for a Federer/Murray or Federer/Djokovic final depends on the draws. The usual people might make some upsets like Berdych, Karlovic and Hewitt. Look out for Grigor Dimitrov last years junior champion, maybe Ferrero, Baghdatis and Verdasco may do well and the rest of the Top 8.

in the women's it's almost guaranteed that Venus will win because whenever she has won 4 when she has been kick out in 3rd round at the French. I'm thinking Robson might get to the third round and Keothavong second round any other Brit getting through will be a bonus. Jankovic and Ivanovic can always contend, Mauresmo could be dangerous, Li Na, Radwanska (the older 1), and an outside bet on Bammer to go at least 4th round.

I think we'll have to wait for the draw to make proper predictions.

On the screaming on the women's wait until you hear Michelle Larcher De Brito she's louder than Sharapova by quite a margin.

^ Mauresmo? Dangerous? She's as off-form as you can possibly get, even though she's a grass specialist.. Clay court specialists like Ivanovic and Safina etc will easily beat her in straight sets, a matter of months before she retires too imo.. She's got a Wimbledon title and that says enough about her talent but she's completely faded over the last two years.

Li Na is a bit too inconsistant, Jie Zheng on the other hand would be the best Asian hope IMO.. She's completely off-form where Zheng isn't..

Agree on your other points though

I adore Djokovic and Roddick though in the Mens, as little as I watch the Mens section.. They've always stuck out for me as interesting and talented etc

Mauresmo is in better form than she was last year and with a couple of wins in the first couple of rounds she could be a threat.

Djokovic is just gorgeous. I have a major crush on him.

Just seen the advert and it's alright.

Murray played brilliantly today and i expect him to be even better tomorrow against Fish and he should get to the final at least now. Roddick could struggle if Karlovic serves well but i doubt it, and could be in for a tough semi final. Djokovic had a tough match today but i can't see anybody troubling him so he could get his first grass court title at Halle.

Shame the brits lost in the women's today but it's looking good to have more than 1 player through to the second round at Wimbledon if they get good draws. Which i doubt as the Brits always seem to draw seeds in the women's at Wimbledon.

Murray into the final but it should be tough against Blake but saying that i wouldn't be surprised that it might be a 1 sided match with Murray winning.

Bad news in the qualifying and main draws at Eastbourne. ATM we have no British players in the main draw in the men's and only 1 of the 12 British men in the qualifying are through to the final round and that's Bogdanovic.

In the women's Keothavong and Baltacha have been given wild cards into the main draw along with Kuznetsova as they missed the entrants deadline. B starts against Li Na who is in this weeks final at Birmingham and K is against Bammer. However in the qualifying we have O'Brien and South in the 2nd round and go against Makarova and Craybas respectively.

And a question for you all, Who do you think will be the Top 8 seeds in both the women's and men's at Wimbledon?

Murray wins the Queen's tournament, the first British winner for over 70 years, is he coming good at just the right time for Wimbledon.

Extatic for him.

Only thing is now the press are gonna hype him up loads, and I wouldn't be suprised if he became favourite to win Wimbledon... I actually think he can win it, but it all depends on whether he bottles it. Or else Federer will wipe the floor.

Murray wins the Queen's tournament, the first British winner for over 70 years, is he coming good at just the right time for Wimbledon.

He wasn't up against much competition though, he is the best of the rest outside of Federer and Nadal but winning Queens is no big deal with no Federer or Nadal there

It is like Chelsea winning the premiership if Man Utd and Liverpool pulled out, pretty meaningless

I don't see Murray as a contender for Wimbledon unless something dramatic happens with Federer/Nadal

You do know that Murray could have taken the world #2 last week and can after Wimbledon. And Murray has a 6-2 record against Federer and has won the last 4 of them. People don't seem to realise how good he is, he is in the best form of his life coming off his best clay court season and winning his first tournament on grass beating some very tough opponents. He is one of the only few to beat Nadal in a grand slam when Nadal is in top form. He also isn't at the top of his game, in the next few years he will continue to progress and get better.

Federer is definitely favourite but is Nadal doesn't make it to Wimbledon Murray will be second favourite and second seed. We could actually see him become world #1 this year if he gets to at least the semi's at Wimbledon and improves his hard court season (which he is already the top player on) and win the US open which he will most probably be 1st/2nd favourite depending on how Federer is playing.

I don't think Murray will win this years Wimbledon but he can definitely get to the final. And of course he will be really nervous in the Wimbledon final as the pressure will be massive as he is British but next year when he comes back having maybe experienced the final he could well win it.

In other news South has got through to the final qualifying round for Eastbourne Bogdanovic has qualified.

I hope Chris Eaton does well. My fav British player.

From the highlights i've seen Murray was pretty good at Queens. He looks to have improved his play on grass. Obviously we'll see though when/if he gets to play one of the big guns...

Thing is when watching Murray play this week it seemed like he had another couple of gears he could go to if he needed too.

He should qualify for the Masters finals soon, hoping he gets to the semi's so i can see him play but im hoping for a world ranking 1 and 2 final whoever they might be as im going to both the semi finals and finals whoop. It was so much money though and i have still got to pay for the train and somewhere to stay, but hopefully some drunkeness also.

You do know that Murray could have taken the world #2 last week and can after Wimbledon. And Murray has a 6-2 record against Federer and has won the last 4 of them.

The crucial factor here though is that, although Murray has beat Federer four of the five times they played in the last year, Federer destroyed Murray in the one match that really mattered - the US Open final. Federer just steps it up about 10 gears in Grand Slams, and that will be especially true at Wimbledon, his favourite. Nadal as well - it doesn't matter if he's injured, he can beat the majority of players on willpower alone. Murray won't bottle it because he's one of the mentally toughest players now, but I still just don't think he is as good as Nadal and Federer on grass - I hope I'm wrong, but I just feel his game is a lot better suited to hard courts. I think he'll get to the semifinals here, but presuming he's face Nadal or Fed there, I don't see him getting further. But I'm predicting Murray to undefeated in the American hard-court season, including the US Open.

I think Murray will beat Nadal in the semi final if drawn together as Nadal won't be feeling confident enough because of his loss in the French, he could actually lose in the first couple of rounds quite easily. The only reason Federer beat Murray like that in the US Open final is because it was Murray's first Grand Slam final and everybody is nervous in their first GS final. He will be even more nervous if he does reach the final at Wimbledon for obvious reasons. But he should defo be in with a big shot of both the US and Aussie open.
