Posted June 9, 200916 yr Britney Spears flogs hundreds of O2 tickets at 2 pounds London, Jun 9: Toxic singer Britney Spears has sold hundreds of her O2 concert tickets at the give away price of 2 pounds, after VIP standing tickets with a face value of 100 pounds remained unsold. Promoters for her show feared that the empty seats in the arena would not make her image look good, and so they cut the entry prices on website theaudienceclub.com. "The shows on the weekend still had a number of unsold tickets by the end of last week," the Sun quoted a source as saying. "Organisers were mystified as to why, but really did not want a bare arena floor. "It could send out a message that the star's run in London hasn't been a complete success. "So on Thursday they contacted a website who specialise in getting rid of last-minute tickets. "They all went, but taking a 98 pounds hit on each sale wasn't particularly pleasing for anyone concerned," the source added. --- ANI I don't necessarily believe this. I mean I could believe that there might be a coupl;e hundred seats left not sold out of an arena that holds 20,000, but if it is maybe it will attract new fans. :lol:
