So besides being a little exclaimation mark-heavy, this is one of the all-time greats yes?

09 You're Still The One

08 When

09 From This Moment On

10 Black Eyes, Blue Tears

10 I Won't Leave You Lonely

09 I'm Holdin' On To Love

08 Come On Over

08 You've Got A Way

08 Whatever You Do! Don't!

10 Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

10 Love Gets Me Every Time

10 Don't Be Stupid

11 That Don't Impress Me Much

09 Honey, I'm Home

08 If You Wanna Touch Her, Ask!

09 Rock This Country!

Besides being just a little too long, Come On Over is just... a classic. My mum played it ALL the time for about three years during my childhood and when I downloaded it again the other day I remembered the greatness and I've been hooked.

I also think that the album version of 'Impress' is better than the UK Dance Mix (which to be fair is also brilliant and a lot more anthemic). THOUGHTS?

a true classic and one of the best country albums ever

although i have to say that i prefer Fireflies by Faith Hill

you like Fireflies then? :D

my mum was also a great fan of this album, she would happily hoover around to this

all the time

the album is one of the best albums ever made, it's what made Shania a superstar worldwide :) Have you heard any other stuff by her?

I have the Up! album (country and pop versions) but I don't really think it's up (ha) to much. My favourite track is Getcha Good... Nah!, Waiter!, and a couple of the ballads like Forever And For Always are good too but overall she didn't really capture the same sense of fun as in Come On Over. Is it worth me downloading The Woman In Me?

i'd say so

i don't own it myself bug i have a couple songs that were on the GH

and have heard very positive reviews about it

Trust me it's perfect, it's one of my all time favorite albums ever :)

Great to see another fan, would be great to see you at the Shania forum here :)

I think I Won't Leave You Lonely is a better ballad :o They're all classics though. I'll take a look in Rami! :D

It's one of those albums that sounds better now than a few years ago, because the key singles got played to death by Radio and Music channels at the turn of the decade.

Whilst every other female pub singer seemed to cover one or more of the following four songs: That Don't Impress Me Much, You're Still The One, Man! I Feel Like A Woman! or From This Moment On.

I also think that the album version of 'Impress' is better than the UK Dance Mix (which to be fair is also brilliant and a lot more anthemic). THOUGHTS?

The Uk dance mix is the version that is on the International Release of Come On Over

You might have downloaded the North American Version? which has the same songs but a lot of them are much more "country" For example, If You Wanna Touch Her, Ask! and That Don't Impress me Much are vastly different :)

Im a MASSIVE Shania fan so I have both versions of the album

I've got the original international edition of the album, as opposed to the revised one with the Impress Me Much dance mix on...

My mam used to play this all the time when I was younger aswell haha, I can only really remember the singles but liked all them.

I'll have to try and find it and listen again :)

I've got the original international edition of the album, as opposed to the revised one with the Impress Me Much dance mix on...

really?? I didnt know there was an "original" edition :o Thanks for the info lol! so is it just the normal country version on yours then? im intrigued lol. Were any of the other songs different to the revised international edition as well? :)

If I'm right, the 'original' international edition and the 'revised' edition are the exact same other than for the revised edition including the dance mix of TDIMM and a very slightly different mix of You've Got A Way from the Notting Hill soundtrack... I'm not sure when the revised one came out though? I'm guessing not long after the original if you didn't even know there was an 'original' :heehee:
