McFly to Release Sport Relief Single

McFly are in search of some more relief and to follow-up their Comic Relief single the boys are to get all sporty and release a single in aid of Sport Relief.

The group were asked by the charity to record a cover of Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now' which will appear alongside 'Please, Please' as a double-A side single on your musical shelves from July 17th.

The video for 'Please, Please' sees the foursome performing naked in a broom cupboard.

And things got a little 'hairy', Tom said and I quote: "There was one sticky moment."

'Please, Please/Don't Stop Me Now' is released July 17th on three formats with all proceeds going towards Sport Relief.

their popularity has started to wane again so they must release another charity single to get to number 1. i wouldn't be surprised if they did children in need this year.
I did like them at first when they released 5CIHH and Obviously but since then all their songs have been c**p really, people only buy em coz they fancy them its the same with Robbie Williams

i think they are doing the charity single to boost there profile again and the last album didnt do aswell as the first so they are hoping for number 1 here

i was never a fan of the mc fly and busted type bands and i hope they fade away soon

Ugh. Some people have such blinkered attitudes towards music. I pity you people, I really do. Lightennn up! Christ.

I think it's nice that they're making harmless fun pop music and not taking themselves too seriously.

Eugh, I heard Don't Stop Me Now by them on a Sport Relief ad yesterday it was awful. :puke2: But yeah I agree, they've been forgotten for a bit so they thought they'd do another charity single.

No-one else has ever done two charity singles have they? In the space of like a year as well. -_-

Please Please is better than I thought it would be though.

Did they? Well I take it all back then, especially as Rachel Stevens has done one solo too!

thats true to and i think again rachel needed it also as her career was on the down at that stage also,,it did turn her career around for a a little while too

Well it spawned her 2 more Top3 singles and breathed an extra 125-150k into her already dead album. ;)

yes as i said it turned her career around and its what she needed at the time,,and once again she needs the same kind of kick start again if she could as her solo career are gone down the pan again

and i do have to say her last few singles were far better than that of her first album

Another double A-side charity single  Another c**p cover
