Great news! Will on in 30 mins. We're front far right side so Edward can take pics. We've been in for last 2 acts but each time it's cleared out. Already front 12 or so rows full - looking good for a full tent!

Tent absolutely heaving! Chanting We Want Will!!

Just got a text from my 30year old niece. From her first ever festival and first ever Will sighting. Quote...

She will be after me for tickets soon.

" I've caved and cracked open the bubbly.. Poor Will Youngs been besiged by fans and all he wants is a cigarette

Solent_SinRadio: Had a nice little chat with will young! Waiting for mcfly to turn up.

Just had a very long telephone conversation with Julie", and she was absolutely ecstatic. She said he was absolutely phenomonal.

I will leave her to make one of her wonderful reports, but just a couple of things. She said that when they came out of the tent, which was absouluely jam packed, the whole of the huge area behind the tent was packed with people watching on big screens. She said that, apart form WAI amd LRN every other song was upbeat, brilliant. People sang the loudest for LRN but they also sang all the words to WAI, Grace and Changes.

She said that he had really thought about what he was singing, as apparently Jimmy Hendrix performed and the first IOW festival so that's why he sang Them Changes.

She'll tell you all about swopping hats, etc etc, but it all sounds as if it went off amazingly well.

Thanks to Mary for relaying all the news.

Your Game

Friday's Child - extended 'tour' version

Who Am I

Tell Me The Worst - dance version

Wow. Will Young just blew me away with his rendition of 'amy' by Ryan Adams live at Isle of Wight (on telly). Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! Amaze.

back from the IOW festival!! Highlights - - WILL YOUNG, Basement Jaxx and Steroephonics!!

24 minutes ago from web

I went to M&S this morning and met my daughter's friend/colleague. She went to see Will on Saturday and was absolutely "blown away" by him. She couldn't get over how good he was and what a lovely man too. She said that some of the acts appear to be doing you a favour by appearing whereas Will was really up for it and determined to give everyone a good time.

I then went to WHSmith and some people were talking about it - I piped up and asked them what they thought of him. Again they said he was amazing and so good with the crowd. These were two married couples - ordinary blokes who just were great fans - and their wives, who also like Will.

None of these people were in the "Will bubble" and I think it is great to hear.

I got the standard reply from ITV.com - they are passing my message on to senior management.

It sure is. Thanks for posting their comments Pearl. :D

These festivals are the best way to change people's blinkered perception of Will. I hope they will be encouraged by the reception he receives to release more kick ass singles.

Thanks Pearl. He's getting himself known around the festivals and filling the stages which can only bode well for future gigs. And,despite the lack of coverage for his live set, we did at least get an acoustic set.

I love posting these comments.

Some guy just posted on the IOW festival forum:

Never really liked Will Young but after seeing him perform in the Big tent I take it all back.

Cracking voice and a great Soul singer. One of the biggest surprises of the weekend.

Thanks to suzzi.

A wee mention in today's Metro, under the heading 'A Wight load of gossip'

'Will Young put his own spin on festival camping by rocking up to a bar wearing a straw hat decorated with large sunflowers. The 30 year old also showed off his new fella at the Absolute Radio VIP lounge

'They looked very into each other' said my source. To top up the gay factor ,he stuck an inflatable penis on his head after it was thrown at him during his performance'

Thanks to Sandra on Devoted for this snippet. Julie has a photo of this but I thought I'd better not post it up on an open forum :P
