Posted June 24, 200619 yr ....England fans on the rampage... again..... Everyone else behaving impeccably, but 100 England fans doing the usual, getting pissed-up, acting like scum, letting the side down... Shame the German police didn't just shoot the w/ankers..... <_< Before the tournament, everyone in the bloody English media was going on about the sodding Polish and German Neo-Nazis ffs.... <_< Which really pissed my Polish girlfriend off no end, typical stereotyping of Polish people.... Well, the "danger" of trouble at Germany/Poland amounted to a big fat bugger all, and as usual, it is the English causing the trouble......

I know someone who's just got back and said there's been a lot of trouble from EVERYONE (English, German, Polish, Dutch, whoever...) but the police and media were keeping it quiet and were hoping England would meet Germany in the second round and would THEN start making out it was bad and blaming it all on the England fans which is just typical stereotyping against the English... AGAIN.... :puke2: Edited June 24, 200619 yr by RabbitFurCoat
June 24, 200619 yr Do you ever say anything apart from something negative towards England and their fans ?
June 24, 200619 yr I would say the 100 English fans thing was blown out of proportion but what I will say is this. After Englands first two games which they won there was little or no arrets/violance but there was some arrests on tuesday night after England failed to beat Sweeden. I do think that it was more than just English fans arrested last night though.

June 24, 200619 yr Author I would say the 100 English fans thing was blown out of proportion but what I will say is this. After Englands first two games which they won there was little or no arrets/violance but there was some arrests on tuesday night after England failed to beat Sweeden. I do think that it was more than just English fans arrested last night though. I don't think it is, 'dozens of arrests' apparently. According to more than one news source and no one's mentioned any other fans involved, not even the BBC, so I'm inclined to believe it....
June 24, 200619 yr Author It's not just English... AGAIN.... :puke2: Anything as significant as last night though? I doubt it very much, because we would've heard about it over the wire in some way or other... And I seriously doubt that if there had been any other large skirmishes as what happened last night the British press would play ball with the German authorities and "keep it quiet" until the English fans started up.... Anyway, there's a good way for English fans to avoid this so-called "stereotyping" really if you think about it, and that's just to not start any sh!t......  Then nobody would be "stereotyping" the English fans would they....?
June 24, 200619 yr But come on, there's over 50,000 fans out there. 113 have been arrested. That's less than 0.0026% of England fans... It's a very smal minority which you'll ALWAYS get!
June 24, 200619 yr But come on, there's over 50,000 fans out there. 113 have been arrested. That's less than 0.0026% of England fans... It's a very smal minority which you'll ALWAYS get! Yeah I agree, other fans from other countries have probably been arrested but we just haven't heard about.
June 24, 200619 yr Nevermind about England. What about Germany?. They made Stuttgart Square a riot. Throwing chairs at England fans. Alright I know the Germnas won't have been fully to blame but the Germans are were taunting the English fans and now the two sets of the supporters are seperated by a whole load of chairs.
June 24, 200619 yr Author Sorry, this is BS, they way I heard it (and the way it's being reported in all the sources that I came across), the England fans started it, the Germans retaliated (not that that really excuses their behaviour either).... I find it really disturbing that people are making excuses for the scum that call themselves "England Fans", if you're a real fan of England, then you should be utterly ashamed of their actions. You didn't see me make any excuses for the NED scum up in Scotland who smacked around that kid or that disabled chap just because they wore England tops...
June 24, 200619 yr Well I don't agree with football holligisam at all, but from what I saw on Sky Sports the Germans got a little it over-reactive once they'd beat Sweden, and then it all kicked off and then the riot police moved in.
June 24, 200619 yr From what they were saying on Sky News it did seem like the England fans started it.
June 24, 200619 yr From what they were saying on Sky News it did seem like the England fans started it. I didn't catch all of it, so if it was the England fans then , but the bits that I saw the Germans seemed to be causing the trouble. Its probably jst six of one and half a dozen of the other IMO.
June 25, 200619 yr It wa sthe German fans that started it. I saw it on Sky Sports News, the German fans were celebrating and rubbing it in the England fans faces ( ) and trying to provoke them.
June 25, 200619 yr It wa sthe German fans that started it. I saw it on Sky Sports News, the German fans were celebrating and rubbing it in the England fans faces ( ) and trying to provoke them. And why shouldn't they celebrate and rub it in our faces? They provoked English ones, and it worked -_- both are to blame.
June 25, 200619 yr Err, so it's okay to do that then ? Sorry it didn't mean to sound like that. No it's not, but it's also not right for the English ones to throw chairs at them, or the Germans to throw chairs at the English ones. And I won't be at all suprised if another riot kicks off today, after we [hopefully :P ] beat Ecuador, and we rub it in the German's faces.
June 25, 200619 yr On BBCs report last night the footagae showed the two sets of fans separated then German fans started throwing bottles and tables. The English reacted, as you would....
