Posted June 26, 200916 yr Gig: Anastacia Pop diva Anastacia caused a few jaws to drop late last year when she admitted that "music has never moved me .. to be honest, I find it irritating". Having battles so hard to earn herself a global fan base with her upbeat anthems, her couragous fight against breast cancer and her extensive work for charity, it seems a remarkable act of self-sabotage. Suddenly calling her most recent LP heavy rotation didn't look like such a wise move. But the 40 year olds' fans seem to have decided to write off ths little confession as an aberration and to instead focus on her brand of brassy-pop. Anastacia's emotive leather lunged warbling and memorable singles such as Sick and tired, left outside alone and i'm outta love have clearly built her up a considerable reserve of goodwill. But then good pop music makes you feel more positive about things and sometimes it can do that even when the lyrics suggest heartbreak and thats actually what astacias songs accomplish with panache. I've always been passionate about music. All sorts of music, of all genres - pop, rock and soul. It's what got me into this business in the first place.
