Take That 'furious' with Lady GaGa

By David Balls, Music Reporter

Gary Barlow has admitted that he was furious when Lady GaGa pulled out of supporting Take That in Manchester.

Barlow claimed that the group were given just one hour's notice that GaGa had decided not to perform and praised Gary Go for filling her boots.

"Gary Go got us out of a real spot. You should have heard me backstage," he told The Mirror.

According to the publication, GaGa was later spotted drinking in the city's Lowry Hotel bar.

Lady GaGa cancelled the support slot after falling ill following her appearance at Glastonbury. She went on to miss a further live date in the city.

Curiouser and curiouser......funny, I now have the impression GaGa maybe didn't want to be upstaged by the lads.....seeing as she was reportedly noticed in a local hotel bar having a few drinks.....

I've never thought much of GaGa to begin with.....seeing as how she was an unknown until earlier this year, in the music business.....her recent snubbing of TT in Manchester only makes me think all the less of her these days.....

yeah or maybe she already thinks she's too good to be a support act cos she was at her own gig the day after even though that was to only 2,000 people whereas the two take that concerts were something like 100,000..

Well we'll never know the real reason. The thing is ... if she had have come on - even to do perhaps one song, chat to the audience and then explain that she was feeling under the weather ... she would have got a fantastic reception. Gary Go would have come on and completed the set for her. From what I've read on the official TT site - there are some angry people furious at what they have seen as a snub. They intend making their disapproval of her quite vocal! I'm sure she'll get over it though.

On a serious note though ... I'm not entirely certain hers is the kind of show that some younger members of a TT crowd should be exposed to. She does swear quite a bit doesn't she? I mean I don't have anything against swearing at shows as long as there aren't too many kids about. Perhaps in hindsight it was a good thing that she was a no-show!

she may be a bit to much for the yonger audience but i dont think they would have took much heed as they would have enjoyed her music, i think she feared been upstaged by take that especially from a live vocal point of view

I don't think she feared being upstaged Pete. From all accounts she puts on a pretty good show and she is a good musician. I honestly think she just couldn't be bothered - either with Manchester or the gig itself. She probably had a bit of a headache and used that as an excuse. She's proved that she is unreliable though ... and I think Take That should insist on a replacement now for the London gigs.

i hate unrealiable people and im sure most people do,its very unproessional from her point of view as one it was a great way of accesing new fans and 2 there were probably a few people there to see lady gaga alone and she would have let them down aswell
