To think. It all ends with a SMILE. :D

Seriously though, it's a shame she's flopping so hard. Even BGT done NOTHING for Smile or What The Hell. What The Hell is great and I love Avril in general. :(

I can't believe a Britains Got Talent performance didn't even bring either her album, nor her two singles into the top 100 at least. :(

Yeah but her AGT/BGT performances were awful. No wonder they haven't really done anything for her.

She should have just performed Smile as well.

#66 on itunes now :) i dont know how much further it will go, but she should get a new peak on the hot 100 this week.

In case anyone was wondering, Wish You Were Here was confirmed by Avril on her facebook and i assume twitter as well to be the next single, and she's filmed a video for it!!

Also in case anyone was wondering:

Smile is up to #68 on the Hot 100 and has sold 170,279 downloads, not amazing but its nice to see it actually doing SOMETHING in the US

Goodbye Lullaby has sold 257,574 copies in the US so far.

Thanks to Nick F1 for posting the sales figures!

it's not going to do a thing here. :( she's on a similar scale with britney for dodging the uk.

(yes, she performed on britain's got talent, but that's quite literally it for 'smile')

Quite happy she's shot a video for Wish You Were Here :D Won't do anything but I like the song

'Wish You Were Here' has grown on me MASSIVELY. Hope it's a decent sized hit for her, though it looks unlikely.

Really it should have been..

1. What The Hell

2. Wish You Were Here

---ALBUM RELEASE---

3. Push

I think Smile and What The Hell were too similar.

I think the album should have been released differently too...

Firstly, "What The Hell" should have been a summer single, followed by "Wish You Were Here" as a late September/October single, followed by "Push" in February, and MAYBE "Smile" to follow in May.

WHAT A MESS OF A CAMPAIGN. I think they are best off just giving up at this stage. If only Avril had had the brains to do a half-baked RESWIZZ of 'Just the Way You Are' eh :(
As of last week her album has sold a around 263k in total in the US and it was at #188, I have no idea where it will be this week, but im guess she'll probably be out, and unless Wish You Were Here actually becomes a sizeable hit, which doesnt look likely, i can't even see it making it to 300k :(

Well at least she is HUGEEEEE in Japan.

I'm a mega huge uber Avril fan an even i'm not fussed with the Goodbye Lullaby era. Wish You Were Here and Push are amazing worthy of her peak and it's a shame these songs will go unnoticed. -_-

It really does seem like 'Goodbye Lullaby' is her 'My December'... It's such a fantastic album, that's going stupidly unnoticed :drama:.

Wrong singles strategies/releases I guess. I would have gone...

01. 'What the Hell?' (NOT OA/OS)

02. 'Wish You Were Here' [bGT performance]

---ALBUM RELEASE---

03. 'Push'

04. 'Stop Standing There'

05. 'Smile'

In reality though, 4th and 5th would depend on how the album would have done by that point.

I don't get releasing Smile so close to What The Hell... they are pretty similar.

Wish You Were Here should have followed. -_-

Nice enough video although it looks a little cheap with the editing of it, forgot how much I love this song too, it's beautiful. Shame it will do nothing though - should've been the second single after 'What The Hell' and lead the album tbh.
wasn't expecting a huge video tbh, so this will do. ^_^ she looks really pretty.
She shouldn't of even led with 'What The Hell' imo, its too 2006. I think 'Wish You Were Here' would have done so much better as the lead, shame it isn't going to do anything now, its my favourite song Avril has ever recorded in her whole career for me, honestly stunning.
