How EPIC of a film is this :wub:

This is the first film that has actually made me fully blown out tears. Possibly because i can relate to it so much and is practically my auto-biography but you cannot deny that the ending is one of the sadest endings a film like Thirteen could have. Say what you want about Twilight but you cannot deny a major love in on Catherine Hardwicke's behalf of this film. I mean not only is the film so intense, but apparently whilst filming, social worker was present at all times during Wood's scenes due to the nature of what she had to do,

Cut herself, take drugs (some actual pills were swollen)

 

Evan Rachel Wood really shines through this. She is such an underrated actress and The Wrestler is just a PINCH of what she does in this. Yes she may come off a bit bratty but its all in the role rather than the acting itself.

I give my fullest recommendation of this film to EVERYONE. You will not be disappointed.

Yeah it's like one of my fave films ever LOL. I hate the ending so much because like you said it's so sad

espesh when the stepmum calls her a c**t or something and shows the scars on her arm

:(. Thankfully I can't relate to it TOO much but it is such a good movie. It's repeated on ITV2 quite alot so if you haven't seen check it out! :D
