Hope you have a good flight and a great time Pam. You'll be looking forward to seeing Stuart again. Enjoy !!!

Plumbers seem to be in such demand that they can pick and choose their jobs nowadays Sue. Hope you

get fixed up soon....good job you're not being flooded out.

It would be helpful if they would say they are busy and don't really need the work for a while....then you could look elsewhere or at least put it on hold till they can do it.

It was great to see Nina again and we had a good bar snack....shame it wasn't under the usual circumstances

Out for lunch in a while with Meg and her daughter

Progress indeed! But you need three quotes (so they say) to make a comparison. But at least No 7 seems

keen to do the job. Has he been recommended?

The last two plumbers came via recommendations. We have 3 quotes now and have accepted this last one. Apparently both he and his wife have been ill with flu and that's why he hadn't replied earlier.

Meg's gone very quiet. Hope everything's ok. Sue

It's very unusual for her not to post, so I too am worried for Meg. Hope all is well.

Glad you have sorted a plumber.

Meg is fine...just been busy with family.

Do you feel happier about Stuart's new life now that you have seen his new home etc, Pam?

It's always a big change when children leave home to make their own life.

Yes he has some good friends and enjoys his job.

His home is lovely and he seems very happy.

I'm glad I still have Neil coming home for holidays.

These last few months have been very strange, glad I have some good friends.

Glad Stuart is settled and enjoying his new life. It's hard when they fly the nest especially when they fly so far away! Sue

Thanks Sue.

We're off to Banff for the weekend and going to see Lake Louise....well when he gets home this afternoon :D

Here - just thought I'd adopt Darius' method of communication while I was busy.

Went to see a matinee performance of 'Priscilla - Queen of the Dessert'. I really enjoyed it. Two people got up and left after about 6 mins - goodness knows why, it's not as if there's been any omission of the details of the show. I may try and go back when Jason Donavan finishes his run. There was nothing wrong with him but he was just too ordinary in an incredibly tacky, camp, garish, larger than life show. Certainly not high theatre but great fun. We were lucky as our tickets were upgraded at the theatre. If we'd been left with the original ones we'd have missed most of the aerial stuff. We were put right near the front and near centre and the view was fantastic.

Zoe Birkett was in it and she has turned into a fantastic performer. The male artists, a lot of the time, do exaggerated mime to the singing of the Divas who are often suspended at the top of the stage. Not only was Zoe's voice great, she moved really well and you could feel enjoyment coming from her. If this is her chosen path, she should become one of the best young singers - you can't miss her on stage, she certainly has presence.
