In PI, I thought you could on ly vote once. It was a conversation with a Will fan that opened my eyes. I voted 2 or 3 times after that.

He may have won PSTOS but I hope the media aren't still bracketing Darius with the show 5 years down the line. They still put X-Factor in when they write about Rhydian despite all of his success in the classical world.

 

I have to take my cats to the vet's today for their boosters and anti-flea injection. I wonder how many scratches I'll get this tim,e trying to get them boxed up.

I suppose if they are its the right program to be bracketed with, Popstar to Opera star winner has a certain ring to it, would be a step onfor the media if they updated the bracket with that instead of PS or PI wannabee etc !!! - it could have been dancing on Ice or t Im a celebrity.. like some get lumbered with.

That's good. We seem to have dead bumble bees. The warm weather brings them out but colder nights kill them.

I saw a wasp yesterday....that was a suprise

I distrust wasps more than bees although I've never been stung by either. There's no logical reason for it. Maybe wasps get worse press.

When they are dieing they get dopey and are more likely to sting. Only the queens survive for next year. They aren't feeding the young wasps anymore and eat a lot of rotting fruit which makes them a bit tipsy. I feel sorry for them but there's nothing you can do about it.

I have been stung several times by wasps, the first time I was only young and it flew into my ear....so what does a child do - cover it - so it stung me.

I spent the rest of the picnic time in the car.

Another time 1 stung me twice...

 

I've just got back from lunch and going to attempt to watch the Mamma Mia DVD....I hate Abba but like the people in the movie so will give it a go....finger held over the fast forward button :o

I had to watch that with my Mum. Never again. The singers couldn't even sing.

I went to see Mamma Mia because my friend wanted to go and I enjoyed it, flimsy plot and all but I was really irritated by one actor's attempts at singing. I think it was Pierce Brosnan or Colin Firth. I know I came out moaning about the casting. I didn't think much of the "groom" either.

I couldn't get past the 'singing'

My expectations are too high thanks to Darius and his forays into MT - I've been entertained by some amazing singers.

 

BTW Louise Dearman is going to be Glinda in Wicked.

Some bees die once they have stung, so they're less likely to sting than a wasp. Wasps seem to sting at randon, rather than only as a last resort.

 

Lyn and I attempted to watch Mamma Mia. We both like the music of ABBA but neither of us are very keen on musicals. and half way through the very first song, we couldn't bear to watch any more :rolleyes: My main reason for watching was because I wanted to see Pierce Brosnan's attempt at singing, as it was supposed to be pretty duff. Was his singing as bad as they said?

Yes - but then it fitted in very well.
