I'm not quite sure. She is always around outside and gobbles any food I give her. She did have a collar with a bell but it had seen better days and was torn and tatty and seemed a bit tight.
she looks out for me now and wolfs down the food I give her.
Perhaps she has been lost for a while if her collar was tatty and torn. Will she let you touch her? Sue

My catsd

often had scruffy collars. They weren't lost but they weren't that well behaved either.

Yes, she loves to be petted and loves to rub up against my legs
It's hard to know whether she already has a family. You have to be very careful. Some people tried to 'adopt' my cats. they even locked them in their house. It didn't work but I wont get more cats in case I get the same problem. At least it's Nina she's flirting with so i know she'll try and find out if ashe really is a stray. If she is,she's a very lucky little cat that she's found a sponser to care for her.

At the moment I'm just feeding her outside. She lies by the bushes in the morning and waits for me. Up until now she has eaten really quickly. Today she took a little more time but then I had to leave for work.

My hubby fed her yesterday evening and said she got scared when some boys walked past but she must have gone back to the food as there was nothing left when we got home last night.

Did you try Meg's idea of tucking a note under her collar, Nina?

And have you looked in your local paper to see if anyone has put in an advert that they have lost a cat? People

often advertise in our paper for their lost dogs, cats, rabbits, budgerigars etc.

Very careless people in our area !!!

I took the collar off because it was tatty and a bit tight. No, I haven't thought to look in the paper. Poor cat is scared of boys and men and I wonder why.

My son has finaly got down to some serious packing.

Now he realises we could have done with 2 cars as he wants his girlfriend to come which means I can't lower both back seats.

I may have to do 2 trips

At least it's not that far, Spam. Nina, you're not taking her into your flat so you're doing nothing but good in helping her. She's free to go home if she wants to and you give her care if she is a stray and it will be apparant that she is sooner of later. if a new collar appears that'll be a give away.

Which uni is Neil going to, Pam? It seems very hard that your family all seem to be separating at the same time.

Hope your house survey came out O.K.

Empty nestwith all the chicks flown. Now we just need Darius to do something to give her an interest.
