He's going to Leeds college of music.

The survey was, now I'm told, what one for a house it's age should be.

They under valued it by £7,450 as the roof will be reaching it life expectancy soon...10-20 years.

With the drop I had to say if they wouldn't reduce tothe surveyed value I'd have to pull out.

They dropped so now I will have a smaller mortgage :) .......just need to save for a new roof

I'm waiting for a moving date but hope it will be before the end of September.....I really need to get moving now.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Pam
At least they came down in price so that's one good thing. Just need to get Neil sorted, get a moving date, move in and then sort Darius out. Not much to do then! ;) Sue

I wish I could!!

Neil and his dad managed to squeeze everything into my car....so just the one trip

 No excuse to return now

He met another new starter just arriving in his flat so that was good.

Just had a phone call to say he's met several others and is going upstairs to join them in a bit....so not to worry.

He's going up town tomorrow to get his bearings and find the shops he needs.

He's got a bit of money for freshers week so all seems well :)

Which instrument does Neil play, Pam? His first impressions sound great.

Now I have a tantalising half-memory of a comedy film about young students at music college. They arrived

with a huge tuba or something strapped on the car roof. It may have had Dirk Bogarde and James Justice Robertson

in it. Does anyone remember it?

Glad the house purchase is going well. You will feel better once you have settled in And the uni Xmas vacation will

be here in no time.

Hopefully spent in your new house. He'll have to unpack before he settles in for christmas.
Glad both your sons seem to be settling well, your turn now Pam
Friends have just brought round their year old cocker spaniel, poodle cross. She's absolutely gorgeous. Immediately climbed on to my knee and fell asleep.

Yes I remember that.

He took 3 guitars, 1 being a base, and a key board. He plays drums too.

He's not doing performance, he's doing recording and production.

Yes he's told me not to unpack anything he'll do it all :o

Mark did his degree in music technology at Huddersfield. The terms are so short Neil will be home again before you know it Pam. He sounds really sensible and I bet he'll have a great time. Having said that, I remember when we took daughter to uni for the first time I cried all the way home! Sue

Sue, that's what Mum's often do. Spam, you BELIEVE him when he says he'll unpack???? I'll believe he'll unpack what he has to have.

The dog was lovely. But I'm not getting another one.

Took Claire two months to unpack all her uni stuff this summer. Too busy out having fun. She got home just as I was about to get up this morning.
I know what you mean Meg. I keep seeing all the adverts in the local paper from animal charities pleading for homes for unwanted cats but I'm not having another one now. Sue
All our animals have needed a home and I felt I couldn't leave them to die so this time, I'm not going anywhere I might find one of those. I think we've decided I have Swine flu. Now I suspect I have, I'm not allowed in the doctors so I wont get it confirmed. They have notices to keep out on the doors and walls as you go to get in.
