It's a lovely new home. I came home to more things going wrong. Just got to make my bed now and try and unpack.

I met my next door neighbour today, and another new mover, just moving in today, across the side street to me.

A man up the street said hello as I passed with the dogs....so I have a very good feeling I will soon get to know people.

Thanks to everyone for all their good wishes.

I booked a ticket to Canada my last night at the old house.

Stuart says it's due to snow this weekend :o

Am I repeating myself?

Must get moving to miss the school traffic to get my dogs to my mother-in-law as I start nights tonight...catch you later

I don't like snow, Pam. It seemed really nice round your new place. It's always nice to have some one else new around.
We've got the HIP pack on the way and tomorrow, I hace to find a soliciter. I should also hear from the builder who's pointing Mum's chimney.

Hope your Mum's place sells as quickly as Pam's new home, Meg. HIP packs are a nuisance.......few buyers rely on

them. but have a survey of their own. But the law says.............. Another way for the government to raise money.

The people around you sound very friendly, Pam. It will be great to see Stuart, where he lives etc, and I guess he has

been miising you as much as you've missed him, though I bet he won't admit it. Dogs soon acclimatise to new surroundings,

just so long as their beloved mistress is there. Do you get a look-in at sitting on the sofa?

Pam has a stair gate to stop the dogs going up stairs. It's a shame they get older as one just can't manage safely. We had to have a stair gate for ours.
Hope things go smoothly for you Meg. It's so much harder dealing with things when you're not actually on the spot. Sue
You can say that again. pam's house was in better condition than Mum's is anyway. Mum loved her's just as it was but I think a lot would want it updated.
Some buyers like a house to do up. Programmes like Property ladder convince them they can make money by doing up properties and selling at a profit.
But they try and pay a lot less than it's worth now. I wouldn't be happy with that. I don't want a huge amount but I do want within £5000 of it's value as it is.

My dogs sit book-end by my settee......they know they aren't to get on

.....whilst I'm there

.....but sneak on when they think I'm not looking :o

We had quite a gale last night.

I do wish BT would hurry up and sort my landline and broadband...I hate not having a landline even if I don't use it much.

Nina, hope your trip to Cambridge goes smoothly.

I can't believe it's 18:30, I got up at 3pm to check my emails and put some washing in with the view to go back to bed with a coffee and get a few more hours. 3 cups of coffee later, breakfast and the washing washed and dried I'm still here.

Bit late now to return to bed......roll on tomorrow morning!

Just had my areials done. The old one had to be replaced.

Now I don't have wires from one room to the next.

I've had someone round to see about the guttering and a built in wardrobe.

Just need to go back to PC world and exchange the mouse I bought....wondered why it was so cheap....old type connection

I also need some more curtain rings, but I'll wait for the school run to finish.

Doing a bit more each day....feels good :)

Yesterday was 10yrs from the day we brought Dane home from Battersea.

Some day you'll be straight, Pam. Don't lose hope. Hope the broadband/landline is sorted now. Moving into a new home

is the beginning of a new adventure in life...............enjoy !

Does anyone know what has happened to Baytree? I do hope she is not ill.
