I've just found 8 trojans on my pc. Thank goodness for avg. The last one I saw come through a google alert - goodness knows when the olther 7 got on there.

Hate when that happens. It's like someone has come into your house and left crap all over the walls.

And you clean it up and worry about any you missed.

Another trojan from a Darius google alert - I've just updated to avg9 and run a scan

How annoying. At least AVG caught it. Strange though, I haven't had any of these google alerts

I am grateful. I loathe those trojans.

It's enough to put you off sometimes.

I've been trying to update to AVG 9 but it keeps telling me it can't find an internet connection..........yet I can

go on google and on here etc. so I've given up for now. Asked me if I was Proxy and which port, might as well

have put the instructiuons in russian for all the sense it made to me. So I'm still AVG 8.5, which it tells me is

being phased out.

It normally comes with a notification, sometimes hidden when you go into avg8. You have to go through a few screens but it allows you to update from there.

I'll try again tomorrow.

I also had 14 bad tracker cookies - as well as the good ones.

If this car alarm doesn't stop going off I am going to do something drastic! It has been going off intermittently,night and day, since Saturday. Each day he takes the car to work and I think surely he 'll get it sorted and each day he comes back and it starts again. He's just returned from work and we're off again!!! Sue

It really gets me when we have that - Dave's back so I'm off.

Our summer gas and electric bill was about £300 less than it was when my father-in-law was alive.

I'm trying out a different anti-virus - Avira Antivirus Personal. It is supposed to be better than AVG

Success !!!! I have now upgraded to AVG 9.

It'll be interesting to see how Nina gets on with her new one.
