Seems fine but doesn't have an email scanner. I ticked to have it examine applications and it thinks one application is a virus when it isn't. It does like to pop up with "buy the premium version" but there is a fix so it doesn't happen.

I might also look at AVAST which is also meant to be better than AVG

Is the AVG9 free?

I have 3 delivery numbers for items from Argos....what's the betting they all come in separate vans

The first one has arrived. I got a phone call just after 7 to say they would arrive between 7:30 and 8:30 so I dashed out with the dogs.

When I returned they had already delivered....Steph, lucky she's up, said they arrived minutes after I left.

My cooker is also arriving today sometime between 7 and 6....lets hope they all arrive this morning....

There are three versions of AVG9, two to pay and one free.

I was on AVG8.5 so they sent a notification to upgrade.

Hope all your deliveries have arrived by now, and that your cooker is connected and working. With luck you

should be straight for Xmas !

All the threads are marked as opened by me but none of the posts I made are there, It's really weird. I wonder if these will disappear as well.
Are you trying out one of Nina's new anti-virus systems, or is this chrome ?

My cooker arrived and as I checked it the oven door fell off....it would take at least 3 weeks to get a new part so as it was a shop show last in line I said take it away and went to get my money returned.

The rest of the argos items arrived together whilst the cooker delivery men were here so we were able to go cooker hunting this afternoon.

I then went into Morecambe and found a cooker...deliver tomorrow, but Stephen is picking it up for me and fitting it tonight.

I now need to go and buy a drill so I can put my bathroom cabinet on the wall.

Have bought two new bird nesting boxes (at £3 each couldn't resist, good thick solid wood ) but when I put them up

on very dark wood they screamed out, so have painted them with a black rubber compound that was used to paint the

shed. Hope this doesn't put the birds off. But by spring they will have weathered anyway.

Always problems, Pam, but the cooker incident seems to have turned out well.

It sounds as though you've really achieved things today. I wish I had. Mum had another fall. She waited until we were out of the way, me at the doctors about a prescription and Dave unstairs and decided we wouldn't notice her brushing up leaves. She can't stand never mind pick up leaves. Her fall moved the display cabinet about 2 feet but it stopped most of the fall but she's not fit at the moment.

She knew she shouldn't be doing it but it is such a problem with Mum that she'll sneak to try and do things when we aren't watching. It's as if she's a naughty child again. Unfortunately I can't treat her like a naughtgy child. She seems to have min strokes after a fall which is really scary for us but she doesn't always notice them herself.

It is a problem. You can't be with her every minute of the day, and your Mum will try to assert her independance - wouldn't

we all in her shoes. Is there something that would hold her interest when you have to leave her.....knitting, reading or

watching a favourite DVD or TV recording?

Oh dear.

As Bramley says...

In our minds we can do these things...trouble is our bodies don't always want us to...they get old....we don't!

Hope she's ok.

My mind still thinks I'm thirty years younger than my body
I can understand but I wish she wouldn't. She just feels she's full of life and her head may be but it can't get the rest of her to join in. It gave her a scare so we may have a few days where she behaves sensibly. I'm taking her out for a short walk now but it shakes her up so much she goes a month backwards.
Sorry about your mum Meg. It's so frustrating for you both. I loved my mum, but there were times when I wanted to scream. It's so hard for them to accept that they can't do things like they used to. Some days you feel like it's one step forward and two steps back. Sue
If she could just be careful. She said she knew bending over made her dizzy but did it anyway, People think kids are difficult.
Hope it's preparations for Hallowe'en keeping you busy, Meg, and not your Mum ill.
It's my daughters birthday weekend. It's been shopping here, shopping in the next town and lunch out. The party is tonight.
Happy Birthday L ! Hope you all have a great time!
