They do say that Evita is one of those musicals you either love or hate. It's a long time since I last saw it, but I'm one of those people who love it. Sue

I do like the music from it so we will see. There is an interesting statement from Rhydian about wanting to appear in a musical like the follow up to Phantom and the second sentence is perhaps what Darius should have had in mind - quote

Rhydian revealed that he would be interested to appear in the Phantom of The Opera sequel, Love Never Dies, which is scheduled to open in London’s West End in March 2010.

 

“I would be interested in appearing in the second or third casting but I wouldn’t want to be involved initially because no one knows if a new musical is going to be a hit or a flop.

 

I think the last sentence is so true.

 

Rhydian seems very sensible. But who would have dreamed that GWTW would be a flop. Certainly not most of

the people who saw it.

I pre ordered Rhydian's new album on Amazon, but it does seem to have quite a few clasical numbers on this one. Have heard bits of them on previews but will reserve judgement until I've had a proper listen. He does have an amazing voice though. Sue

I also am buying Rhydians album. Also heard a few of the tunes fro m it. The first one O fortuna is the music that the x factor judges walk into the show on and it was also familiar to me. Think that may be the case with several others. He does have an amazing voice but hes not Darius.

Has anyone had the swine-flu jab? Has anyone decided against it?

I know several people who have had it.

 

I wasn't going to have it but now I'm unsure.

 

I have been in contact with several people who have had the illness so feel I probably have some immunity....but then you never know.

 

I really can't help you.

 

What I would say is that if you have any long term illness have it.

I won't have the injection

In our area they reported that very few of the health professionals have taken up the offer of the jab, so it makes you wonder if they know something we don't. My sister-in-law had it and was fine, but some of her colleagues were quite poorly from it. Don't know what to do.

I've only had the flu a couple of times so am a low risk and would rather leave it to my body's natural defences to fight should I get the flu.

Spent the last 3hours building my bedside cabinet....and it's still not finished!

But think of the achievement, Pam. I'd be hopeless at that sort of thing. Though I did buy a fan when the Hot Summer

was forecast ( :wacko: ) from Argos....it was in pieces, so I had to assemble it. I hunted high and low for one piece, then

read further down in the instructions that that piece was no longer included !!

I quite like assembling flat pack furniture - put together two chests of drawers and a desk for my daughters a couple of months ago but have done wardrobes and bunk beds. Wardrobes are quite hard to do on your own.

I hate reading instructions, I'd rather somebody show me and then let me have a go. I tend to do what I think and then of course its wrong. Sue

What did you think of the album? Must admit I'm still not sure, but having said that, I saw him perform O Fortuna on the A T show and thought it was amazing.Perhaps you have to see the numbers performed to really appreciate them. Sue

Rhydians album is completely different to his last one. It is more classical but there is no doubt about the voice. However, I think it is too soon for him to crossover, I think he should have waited to do this on a later album when he is more established. I also wonder if he is with the right label.
