Well, we know The Mirror don't like Darius and underestimate him all the time. I wasn't keen on Olly. Joe has a good voice and Stacey was a character, which I don't think any of the others were. I've already told Mum I'm not watching next year. This was the first x-factor I watched and I found it unbearable. It was a show for the judges only and Simon was manipulating people all the time.

I feel for them all

it's a money making project

I'm worried Joe is too young

He has a fabulous voice but needs to find himself first and then decide what it is 'he' wants to do.

Have to admit I watched this as well. Loved Joe from the start, but like you I have my worries about how he will cope long term. He was still seemed to be in shock on This Morning. Sue
He's a lovely lad with a great voice but seems very malleable - which is worrying

Well I've finished the wardrobe with Neil's help.

....2 hours 2 men

.........it was more 2-3 days 2 people including an electric screw driver and even that didn't work in places we had to move the screws due to knotts.

1 we couldn't move again so it's sticking out...luckily not in a noticable place.

Came home this morning to my bedding box almost finished.

Just need to wash my new sheets, when I finish nights, hang my new curtains and make up the bed and I'll be set.......1 lovely new bedroom :D

Which reminds me - I have to make the bed. Flight from Scotland cancelled but the train is taking the strain - at £80 more than the flight would have been.

Glad you're finally sorted Pam.

Is the weaher very bad with you Meg? Trains have been cancelled from Manchester to London, but it doesn't take much for that to happen! So far we seem to have come off lightly. Sue

No it's fine. Took Mum out for her walk in the sunshine. They had Gatwick on the TV though, with thick snow and no planes, Dave said that the snow began not far across the river. We had some but it didn't do much - not even worth taking a pic off.

Helen, a Darius fan from Canada asked me to post here that she saw Darius on BBC Canada on 18th December in Hotel Babylon, she said it was a great show and the acting was very good :) She reads buzzjack every day but isn't a member.

That's really good to hear. I'm so glad that it was aired in Canada. Shame it wasn't in the States as well.

Thanks, delphi and to your Canadian contact as well.

I took Mum out in her wheelchair to sample the new patisserie that has just opened. It has good access and we reorganised the tables to fit us all in with Mum sitting on a normal chair and her wheelchair folded away. I know that she shouldn't eat the things on the menu but she really loves them. Her weight doesn't go down whatever she eats and she eats very little. 12 stone is too heavy but it's not worth worrying about at this stage and she absolutely loved her cheese and ham toasted roll followed by black forest gateaux. She has not many years left and I just want her to enjoy them. Her normal meals are healthy. She really enjoyed all the family together.

I'm hoping for a lovely Christmas for her. The doctor says just don't look for problems as we'll find them. We have her here now and we'll make the most of it. I know it's horrible but I'd much rather she had another major stroke that took her away than her die slowly with the cancer.

David has just told me I had a phone call from Avril while I was out. It's a shame I wasn't there as I'd have liked to talk to her. Anyway, she said that she appreciated all our support for Darius and that we'd be seeing a lot more of him in 2010. I appreciate her taking the time to phone.
Meg, I hope you do have a wonderful Christmas with all the family together and a happy memory to hold for the future. You are right to let your mum enjoy herself, have the foods she likes. Shame you missed Avril's call but sounds like good news if we'll hear more from Darius in 2010
Glad your Mum enjoyed herself Meg. Hope she stays on the best side and you all have a really Happy Christmas, you deserve it. Make the most of every day she's with you. Sue
We will, pip. Mum was feeling well today so we took her to Worthing to see a friends new baby. Mum is REALLY a baby person. She was content to sit with him for hours, at 5wks old he's still very little and absolutely charmed her. The pavements and roads were dreadful though. It was really hard to push her wheelchair in the ice. I appreciated coming back to our ice free zone here.
