Merry Christmas everyone! :)

Let's hope for a Darius-filled 2010!!!

I got up this morning, finished preparing the turkey and lamb - and found that the turkey wouldn't go in the oven. Our main oven failed about a year ago and I've just used the second smaller one. I ended up running down the road carrying the turkey, to use someone else's oven. Still, it tasted good and a little exercise is good before lunch.

Just got home from work.

There had been a bad crash on the M6 and 2 of the night girls were stuck in the queue.

What a day for a bad crash.

There was black ice....not sure if that was the reason for the crash but that's what the girls said their journey had encountered.

I hate black ice. I hit a patch once and slowly demolished a wall, just missing a huge tree on the way. There just wasn't anything I could do. It was as though time had slowed right down.

The weather has been dreadful hasn't it and they have promised our area more heavy snow for the middle of the week :o

Glad you and the turkey made it to the table Meg! Sue

Glad we've not had to put up with the weather conditions you have had to. It rained overnight and the morning was like early spring. Clouding over now though.

I'm watching Nottinghill again.......love romantic films

Kids are at Rock night and wont be home till 4am...ish

I watched Harry Potter. I even managed to keep quiet about the bits I thought they shouldn't have missed
well we are still snowed in - seemingly this hill doesnt warrant griting, so the snow has not gone, and now it has turned to sheet ice - everyone is stil diggin out cars and sliding up and down the hill. and more is forcast for the new year!!

Sorry to hear that PiP.

Ours has all melted now.

Yesterday it was really slippery with it raining on the snow then freezing

We have rain this morning...just after I return home with the dogs.

I really must get to the shops but think I may just go back to bed....on nights tonight :(

I hope you managed a sleep, Spam. pip, getting ready for Christmas must have been a nightmare for you. I hope you're released from the snow soon.

We had a it really icy last night but it's thawed this morning.

How you doing PiP?

My things have arrived from storage.......just need my attic flooring so I can store it all

I've unpacked 1 box

...it had a few glasses in it

I've got my shelves in place for the DVDs and CDs.....my next problem is how to categorise them...luckily my friend is a librarian and said she would come round and help

.....must have a million inherited from my son

...just think of all that money spent!!!

Everyone is complaining about bad weather here. It's raining in day time. I wonder what they'd be saying if they'd had the same as some of you?

Had a good afternoon sorting.

Things for the attic are in the front room and everything else on shelves....well almost.......there were so many DVDs that we have run out of shelves for the CDs!!

I seem to have lost my books......I do have one box of books to look at in my bedroom....hope that is all and some haven't gone astray.

I now have a TV and DVD player in my bedroom so on those frosty nights I can snuggle in my bed and watch it :D

....so much to look forward to

wow, how did you manage that?
With difficulty. |We've dumped our furniture and I'm waiting for my men to bring Mum's down. Then it's back to packed.
Hope it all goes smoothly.

You're all making me feel guilty you're so busy. I keep putting things off till the new year.

Hope Sharon's ok, she hasn't posted for a while. Sue
