I'm fed up. I've wasted so much time last week and this waiting for tradesmen to come.

They say they'll call you to make arrangements, then they don't and you have to chase them up and they schedule you in for an early date and you think, fine.

When the time comes the job they're doing turns out to be more complicated, so they say they'll re-schedule but of course they don't have their diary with them at that job, and the farce continues.

I think I've only got one more let down in me before I tell them their services are no longer required!

Another job has been on and off so many times I could pull my hair out - insulation I agreed to because my elderly neighbour downstairs wanted it done.

Sounds really frustrating. I've not even dealt with my father-in-laws will yet. It seems to much like letting go.

I thought I'd dealt with my parents' wills at the time but much later had to petition the court because of an unexpected legality due to a phrase omitted by their lawyer (retired between times), when he drew up their wills. It was a costly pantomime but it had to be done.

My plumber/gasfitter still hasn't called. I'm going out now to get some fresh air and clear my head.

BT that is so frustrating when you need a job doing.

I have just dashed round cleaning and tidying I have a house viewing at 6:15.

They had wanted 12 tomorrow but as I start nights tonight I said no.

Then they came back with 6:15.......I usually have a couple of hours in bed from 5-7 :o

I know they cost a fortune but I just had to go with a solicitor as I just could bring myself to do it.

If you like I'll come down and look at it with you Meg

I can't complain about the company who fitted our garage door yesterday. They arrived on time, just when they said they would, fitted the door within two hours, tidied up, and left. It made a nice change. Sue

When do you want to see HP Meg and where?

Not next week but anytime after that. s long as I can get home in time to put Mum to bed. I don't care where as long as I can get her up and put her to bed.
I've seen most of the HP films in the cinema here or in France but I just can't get into the books at all and if anyone asked me about any of the films, I couldn't even give the broadest synopsis other than of the first and second, which I've subsequently caught a few times on TV.
Mum watched the second one with us in the cinema and couldn't remember anything at all about it. Nothing. We haven't taken her to any others since.

My dog is on valium!!!!. It should help the next fit to be only one and not a set of 3.

I now have to go and find something to fee Daved. I'd forgotten all about him. He wont let me for long.

here I am wishing I was back in Devon! havent stopped housework and cooking since getting back! two edlest sitting aruond all day making mess!! thankgod other is working through summer till she goes back to Uni! as for youngest, seems everything she owns is spread through the house. arrghhhhhhhhhhhh, ever decreasing circles!

oh to be fossil hunting on Charmouth beach just now! its such a lovely evening, cant beleive I was there only saturday afternoon

That's the trouble, holidays seem a long time ago very quickly - just as well we haven't manage3d one for ages.

PiP you sound like an echo of me. Two lounging around doing nothing all summer, one working before going back to uni, clutter everywhere. And never know who is going to appear or not for dinner - sometimes just me and my hubby othertimes the boyfriend and friend also want feeding.

yup, tbh I have given up preparing meals for the older ones, I started to, but find I suddenly cant cope any longer with trying to second guess who is in.who is out, who is bringing boyfriend at meal time! caught out so often with too few or left over meals-plus they are much like cuckoos! and will sit waiting to be fed if th ey think they can get away with doing nothing!! there was me thinking they would fly the next in their 20's..

we had middle daughter with boyfriend as well as youngest on holiday - luckily they got the hint I wasnt doing cooking!!
