hope everyone had a good xmas, lets hope for a happy new year!

 

we actually got the car out today- I cant beleive that every road in wycombe seemed to have been gritted - yet ours was untouched!! when the snow started to melt it just turned to sheet ice, hubby was hacking away ice from the path and road yesterday so we could get out. however the roads are destroyed!! ours isnt too bad, but round town the potholes have just come up, tarmac crumbled all over and the road surface has disintergrated!...so more danger avoiding huge holes!!

 

Luckily the weather forcast was spot on before xmas for a change, so I went and stocked up just before the snow set in on the thursday..then hubby walked to the stores for bits we needed, indeed, I quite enjoyed the fact we couldnt get out visiting, or gviing lifts to the kids..they had to don wellies and walk to work!!! it made it quite a stress free time, just watching from the window, evrything so quiet and white -

We're back to having nowhere to put things. Instead of a display cabinet, we now have a wardrobe in out hall.

why do babies come near Christmas? I keep telling all mine that they are just inconsiderate being born at this time of year. Lovely to have them to complain to though.

Surely it was the Mums and Dads who were inconsiderate...........

 

Happy new year to everyone and I hope 2010 is better than 2009 was, though with my hubby's aunt in hospital with pneumonia doesn't seem to be starting too well.

Well, we've just had a power cut. Luckily we had plenty of torches and candles. It's knocked out our small oven though. Looks like next year's going to be another bad one.

That's just the Old Year kicking you in the teeth as it goes, Meg. 2010 will be great.

Just heard from Bea and she's still doing fine and waiting for Darius to do something. It was a shame she was in hospital for his run in GWTW but at the moment she's well enough to get to see him.

 

My Aunt is back in hospital. I hope she's better soon.

 

Have a Happy New Year. At least this time we are VERY likely to have some Darius in it.

Good news about Bea. Best wishes to everyone for a happy and healthy 2010. Hope it's an improvement on last year with lots of positive news about Darius. Sue

No, I've written and emailed but I think she just needs a break from anything that worries her. I'm hoping that when she feels better she'll re establish contact. She did let me know she was going awol from Darius sites for a while.
