They're saying we'll have snow again by nightfall. The last lot isn't safe to walk on yet. Mum says her walking is getting really bad because she's not been out but it wasn't brilliant before.

The new banner is lovely, thank you. Darius Campbell. i'm still not quite used to it.

I like the DC logo they're using on his web pages.

Most of ours has melted but where it remains the water on the top is making it lethal
We have the ice under water too. And compacted snow turned to ice. It's not as if we had huge amounts but it wont go away
When I arrived in the Lake District, they had about 3 or 4 inches of compacted ice and there was a mild thaw on, so it was covered with water. It was really scary trying to keep balance on that, laden down with 2 bags and a suitcase.

Some of the pavements are really bad.

I cleared snow and salted the pavement outside my house before I went to work...days ago...but it had snowed again, then frozen when I returned from work.

Now it is melting that part I cleared is perfect and the edges are still ice.

I wish others had done the same.

Not good living on a hill in these conditions.

How you doing PiP?

Yes, it'd be easier to walk if we didn't have to carry things. What amuses me is the number of people slipping around with ordinary shoes on.

It's pretty much clear here and what I enjoyed most on Sunday, was getting back into shoes instead of boots.

Thank goodness that I had better gripping soles and heels fitted to my boots for Canada. I wasn't expecting to get such wintry weather here.

its gradually thawing - plenty still around though. god knows what all the grit and sand people have used round here will do to the drains..
Thanks for the lovely new banner. The snow seems finally to be slowly thawing round here. Managed to get to physio this morning. Sue
I went to the Chinese place again yesterday. They are working on the damage to my neck done when someone crashed into our car, years ago. The doctor was delighted when he hurt my hand. I've had little sensation in them for years and now they are concentrating on increasing the circulation and activating the nerves. Trouble is, it hurts.

sounds promising though.

it is snowing again here, and after getting daughter into school for one day yesterday..the school has had to close again, shame, as we were just on the doorstep all kitted out too ready to go. anohter 8 cm last night, but at least it looks as though a thaw is on the way, well by the end of the week, possibly .

Stick with it a litlle longer, megham. Alternative medicine can be effective.

My friend's husband has been in and out of the hospital with shoulder and neck problems. He damaged his shoulder pretty badly then infection set in. The doctors tried all kinds of things including corrective surgery and he couldn't get any relief,

He went to one of Jan De Vries's clinics and after just one session he can move his neck quite freely. He's already decided to go back for help with the shoulder.

They've decided that a frozen shoulder is adding to my problems. Our national health just say that I haven't actually broken any bones so that's that - live with it. They knew my neck was damaged but refused to do anything. If this works, I'll be livid as I've wasted so much time not being able to do things.

Unfortunately, we've had a lot more than the sprinkling of snow promised to us and it's still coming down. Now we have quite thick snow on top of compacted snow turned to ice. How nice.
