A lot take kids on rather than older people. If he takes a job in a firm he'd like to work for but at a much lower leve, he will probably find he can work his way to where he wants to be in a few years.

yes, I have said this too, he needs an @apprentaship@ as such, there were firms in the good times asking for graduates in PC, softwarre etc to train up - that was short lived! he graduated just as times got rough! I am hoping daughter will see an improvement as she has two years to go
Mine started with data inputting - at least it was in the organisation he wanteed to be in. Lots of his friends waited for the 'right' job for years. 4 promotions later and he's where he wanted to be. His degree didn't help him get a job but he wouledn't have got the last 2 promotions without it.
the scarey thing is the interest keeps piling on each month, so the loan keeps growing - they arent told that, our son reckons he will try to find jobs under 15grand - so he doesnt ever repay..not that he can find any job at present!! everywhere wants experience, so how do kids get on the first run while firms have a resevoir of older employees who have lost jobs elsewhere

That's what is happening to Mark. He reached the £15,000 threshold and started to repay the loan, but with the interest it just keeps on growing. :( Sue

Most people get more house with a second mortgage, this era's kids just get the student loan to go with it.
sitting drinking cider with Meg. Saw harry potter earlier. Must read the book again.
I'll probably take in the film because I've seen the others, for the sake of completeness, but I've never been really enthusiastic about Harry Potter. I tried to read a couple of the books without success.
Just realised the film never explained why Snape was the half blood prince.
It missed out a lot. The defence against the dark arts crowd didn't help,it was a bit of a wash out in that beit.

I can't remember when that was, I had a feeling it wasn't revealed till the next book.

It's such a while since I read then I can't remember.

They did miss a lot out but it's the time factor.

There's nothing quite like reading the book.

I sold a single of Rushes today to a young lad, I have duplicates, my husband said needless to say he got a history. Last week I sold a book to Jamie Cullum, he was charming.
I have a market stall. I realisaed I knew him but couldnt place him until Sophie dahl walked out with him and then the penny dropped.I checked on his website and saw they were pushing for him to come to Pagnton which is across the river from Dartmouth so imagine he was visiting to size up the area or for a gig? He also recommends books to read on his website, believe he is an english literature graduate. He bought a l964 paperback version by Agatha christie but I cant remember the title. We do get a few celebs at Dartmouth because it is very beautiful with the naval college standing above the river.

Hope you find something you like Pam.

Dreams, dreams, dreams last night.
