I've been manipulated and stretched and willing to try anything else.

I think you should try anything available..........it's just finding the time, courage and money

Crikey Spam, glad I flicked back a page to fully understand your post  :D

anything to brighten your days......... :naughty:

You always brighten my day

I think I'll leave the thread - I hate playing gooseberry.

I like gooseberries too!

I wish they could do something for you, Sue. Have you tried alternative medicine like acupuncture?

Yes Meg, I go every other week for acupuncture, ultra sound, massage and manipulation, but nothing seems to work really, although Judith, the physio is so good, (I've been going so long now that she's become a friend and I've seen her boys grow up), is very up to date on new ideas that come through ,so I feel that if there was anything new to try she'd be one of the first to know. Last time I saw my specialist he just said there weren't any new miracle cures and if anyone could help Judith could. It's because it's not a common condition and they don't know why it happens that they don't know how to cure it.It's really frustrating, but at least they're not describing me as common! ;) Sue

Everytime I feel life isn't fair I just have to look around me to see just how lucky I am.

One of Darius' fans is being buried this week - she was only 28 years old. Now, that's not fair. I know Darius, Avril and Booth were really sorry that we all found out too late. I really feel for her family. I don't know how anyone deals with something like that.

Your condition is a nightmare as well, Sue. It makes me realise that I should just stop moaning and be grateful for what I don't have to put up with.

That's so sad Meg :( My condolences to her family and friends.

Was it someone we have met up with Meg?

Oh Meg, that's awful! How do you get over something like that? Makes me feel guilty for moaning. Sue

Moaning is a way of coping - don't knock it - it really helps having people around you.

I'm now moaning about getting a parking ticket. I left Mum to put her disabled badge on the dashboard, looked and checked the one with the time was the right way up - never even thought about which way the other one was up and rushed off. It had taken me ages to find a space near enough to the hairdressers for Mum to get to. When I came back after about 45 mins, the ticket was on the car. A lady came out of the shop we were parked in front of and said she's seen the traffic warden and had come out to see what he was doing. She said they'd said that Mum really did need a disabled space but he left the ticket anyway as one of the cards was upside down. I didn't even know there was a right and wrong way for that one.

It's so frustrating isn't it, they are exactly the same around here. The time has to be right and the other one has to be facing the right side up,that means not with the picture showing. There's hardly a week goes by, without a complaint being in the local paper from someone who has been caught like you. What makes it more annoying is that it takes ages to find a spot in the first place because there are so few disabled places.I keep mine in a wallet now so that all i have to do is open it and adjust the clock. I remember when we went down to see Darius in Chicago the first time, and Ron left the car outside The Strand Palace Hotel, in the side street, complete with disabled badge. It only took him a few minutes to help me up the steps and when he got back we'd got a ticket! Apparently our disabled badge wasn't valid in that district of London. We appealed and although it took along time, we eventually got it cancellled. I remember the air being blue at the time. Sue

The same thing happened to me in Sainsbury's car park when I parked in a disabled bay - Mum is 90, we have been parking in the same car park at least once a week for the last 5/6 years and Mum or I always displayed the disabled card in the windscreen always making sure the time was correct. I never worried which way up the card was displayed - I didn't realise it mattered!! I was furious and complained in the shop. They were very sympathetic and said that if I sent a copy of the blue badge and a letter to the council they were often lenient. This I did, saying that it was disgusting picking on disabled people who were obviously entitled to park in the relevant parking bays and should save their efforts for members of the public who did so illegally!!! I received an apologetic letter back and was let off of the fine - so I should think!!! It was Xmas time so perhaps they were feeling extra generous but I still think it is worth a try just because of the principle of the situation!! :)

It's really annoying. Especially when they had witnesses to say she can't walk. I just don't need another thing to deal with at the moment.

Who was it that gave out gold trophys for 'more than my job's worth' or something?

That is absolutely ridiculous when there was a badge in the front.

I did actually know they had to be a certain way round when my mum had one...the number and photo have to be showing....is that what they meant?

My dog came back to me yesterday with a swollen mouth.

A trip to the vet and he had 2 injections and some tablet...£67 then he has to go for some teeth out on Wednesday.....approx £290.

So glad Darius isn't doing anything at the moment....
