I've been looking at settees and sofa beds today......Harveys has a sale on but an even better sale at Aug Bank holiday weekend....so they said.

They were by far the cheapest shop round here for what I fancied.

Now need to window shop for a cooker, fridge freezer and microwave....and perhaps a wardrobe other wise my clothes will be laid on the floor.

Hope I get a date this week so I can plan better.

I like those bed chairs I have - maybe with a different cover but I wasn't spending £40 extra for a different colour. What are they leaving behind? Often kitchen equipment is included.

In the description it's space for cooker, fridgefreezer, washer

I haven't met the owners, the estate agent took me round.

We may go look through the front room window to see if there was one or 2 sofas in.....I thought only 1 but both boys said 2.

I really need a date for moving first....hope the chain isn't too long!

Waiting is a nightmare. Neither our solicitors or the estate agent told us our completion date had been altered and we could have ended up homeless for the last 5 months.
Waiting is so hard because you keep thinking about what can go wrong. Mind you, come to think of it, there's nobody better at waiting than us. We've had so much practise waiting for news of Darius. Sue
Hope you don't have to wait too long Pam and it all goes smoothly. Being in this sort of limbo is stressful.
I dreamt I was in a car driving in the country. The gear stick kept coming out and though I kept putting it back it fell out again. Then I was speeding down a country lane and hit a dead end. No gear stick and when I put my foot on the brake the car kept moving forward. I yanked the hand brake, which sort of worked but the car sped backwards stopping right by a group of policemen questioning some guys. They told me to get out of the car and wanted to test if I'd been drinking even though I told them the brakes failed.
I don't blame them. A mad woman sppeding backwards with a broken gear stick clenched in her hand - really diodgy. You're dreaming the 'out of control' bit again. I don't think I've ever been in control of my life - that's probably why I don't usually have nigjhtmares.
I've never felt in control either but doesn't stop the nightmares. Guess I need a loud nudge every so often to remind me not to kid myself that I have control.
Kids, work, husbands. Well everything I guess. Couldn't find the light switch last night. Then a strange woman's voice in the room.

Your husbabd changed sex and moved the light switch so you wouldn't notice? well, I never thouhjt he'd do that.

The last of the garden party people have just gone and I'm sitting here eating toast.

did thegarden party go well?
It went very well. The first people arrived at 12:45 (well, one arrrived at 11am) and the last arrived at 16:15. The last went at 20:30. Thanks to Pam and Cathy it worked well but I'd have hated to cater for them by myself.
Just thought I'd add, Pam was here because her son got the go ahead to emigrate on Wednesday night. That was more important than the garden party. At such late notice, he had to fly from London, which left me with a helper for a few hours until she had to go home as she's working all day today.
