a little trivia for you, I read somewhere today that Elvis's first movie was meant to be called something else but was renamed to the name of one of his hits, you'll easily get the hit but what was the original title and why was it changed?

The original title for the film was The Reno Brothers, but was changed when the producer of the movie, David Weisbart, decided to include 4 songs into the film ;) and so it became Love Me Tender

Can't catch me out, Brian

Oh and of course Elvis' appeal as a singer played no part in his decision to change the name ;)

Ah but did you know one of the main reasons was that they had printed 400,000 copies of the song and wanted to market it :cheer:

He was no fool, he knew that after Elvis had appeared on The Ed Sullivan show and with the advance orders for the single, it was a good move :D But considering that the film was supposed to be hard hitting western, the title, at first, didn't seem appropriate, but he was right

Ooooooooops

been wondering whether we could start a thread purely for Elvis related trivia, questions, puzzles etc just to keep them all in one place, nothing too taxing just a bit of fun. Remember i'm new to this game so be gentle with me :D but i could try and catch you guys out, and you can have a bit of fun with each other as you are more experienced in all things Elvis :elvis: . what do you think?
