Michael Jackson death certificate released

Michael Jackson's death certificate has been released, with his cause of death being listed as "deferred".

The 'Thriller' star passed away on June 25 following suspected cardiac arrest. However, an official cause of death will not be confirmed until the results of toxicology tests can be analysed.

The certificate has named Michael Joseph Jackson as a 50-year-old, divorced black man. His profession has been listed as a musician for the past 45 years.

The document has also named the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where a private viewing was held on Monday, as the "temporary" home for his remains. No details are given about where he will ultimately be buried.

It was previously reported that Jackson would be laid to rest without his brain after the coroner's office retained the organ to investigate allegations that his death was linked to painkillers.
