Ok, I can see this being torn to pieces but some but I'll risk it:p

Starting now on ITV1.

I've watched first few eps and it is quite funny, some reviewers dont like the cast but I do :kink:

And Tom Ellis should be on TV more! :P

Anyone else watch it. I completly forgot about it until Ryan posted this. I though it was OK i guess, may or may not watch again next week.

If this was on the same time as Jimmy McGovern's The Street on BBC1 - I was watching The Street. I usually hate anything with Faye Ripley in anyway (she was in it wasn't she?)

Yup up against The Street - an ITV production....clever ITV never fail to amaze me.

LOL and yes Faye's in it, im a big fan

actually, its not bad.... last nights ep reminded me of a watered down 'green wing', not as funny (by far) but still watchable with rye humour.

I'm not usually overly fond of Faye Ripley but I think she's actually brilliant in this.

The show isn't anything groundbreaking or original, but it's good fun light hearted comedy, just what I need on a Monday really.

Those watching Monday Monday last night missed out on an absolutely fantastic performance by Anna Friel in The Street! Watch out at the BAFTAs - she's in with a shot!

I watched ep 4 today. Best ep yet.

Glad people sticking with it, its nothing original or groundbreaking but its light-hearted entertainment - finally ITV managed to pull off something half decent :D

Monday Monday got well beaten in the ratings by The Street.

Monday Monday 3.4m (15%) down 0.25m from last week.

The Street 5.1m (22.5%) up 0.1m from last week's much hyped opener.

Whilst The Street has been the most watched programme on BBC iPlayer in the last 24 Hours, obviously due to the word of mouth reviews in offices up and down the country and very positive newspaper reviews largely praising Ms Friel's performance. Although I loved the subtle plot twist with the vicar.... :D

I loved the very, very subtle element that McGovern has woven into the first two episodes of this series. The element where the villain himself gets scared of the victim. In the first episode where Liam Cunningham's character peers out of the window and thinks that the Bob Hoskins' character has a gun inside his jacket ... so scared that he sends his wife to the door. And in last night's episode where Mark's father is almost begging Dee/Ruby not to spill the beans to his wife. I'll be looking out for this element now in all the forthcoming episodes!

I loved the bit with the vicar too! 'How did you get your kids into St Peter's then' .... 'I shagged the vicar'.
