I booked my tickets for Vue last night, and even now that they allocate seats, there are still loads left. Absolutely BUZZING for this anyway!
I booked this as early as I could out of a paranoid fear they would all be gone closer to the date, but at least it means I've got to choose the ideal premiere seats. Cannot. Wait.

I'll be suffering from post-Potter depression after the 16th :(

I've booked tickets with my friends on the 16th :D from VUE. I was wondering because I never got a confirmation e-mail  when I successfully booked the tickets. Its not really that important is it ? as long as I have the credit card I paid with it should be fine, right ? *paranoid mode*

Ah, I see ^_^

On the website after I booked, it did say that the main thing is the credit card I used to purchase it. I collect the tickets in the cinema 4 hours before the film starts.

I'm new to this booking online thing

Seeing this on Friday :D EXCITED. First HP film I'll have seen on the big screen since HP4.
87/100 on Metacritic after the first 6 reviews. Lowest score given is 8/10.
This is all going rather swimingly; being the last one and with such a great reception from critics (and from early word of mouth, the public too), it's clear this is going to have some great legs. It may even give the Dark Knight a run for it's opening weekend record, if ticket sales weren't so low in general and 3D being more of a hindrance than a help these days.
part 1 is FREE at my odeon if you have tickets to the midnight showing of part 2, is this the same everywhere?!

If I knew that! :arrr:

Sadly I'm fully booked out for tomorrow, meaning I'm going to have to wait one more day!

It's happening at Showcase! :w00t: I'm going tonight. Except I'm going halfway through the first one! AHHHHHH! Going to go and get ready now in fact! :w00t: I've steered away from trailers, spoilers and this thread up until now, so I really don't know what to expect.

I have a feeling this is going to break WW records. (Obviously) I don't think any film franchise has ever had the same impact, has it?! 'Lord Of the Rings' probably comes close but other than that, I can't think of anything...

This is breaking box office records already, grossing over $32m in advance ticket sales, setting a new pre-opening benchmark.

Regal Entertainment Group alone claimed over $10 million for the 535 locations it operates, whlie MovieTickets.com has already sold more Deathly Hallows Part 2 tickets than for any other 2011 release, marking a 38 percent increase over Part 1.

It is due to open in the US on over a whooping 11,000 screens (the record for most screens is held by Pirates of the Caribbea: At World's End with 11,500) at 4,375 locations (record held by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with 4,468) including a record 3,000+ 3D location count, more than Transformers 3's 2,789. It also has the biggest IMAX release ever showing at 274 IMAX locations. This is the biggest release ever for a Harry Potter movie and Warner Bros. studio. I think with such a wide release and hype, massive pre-opening sales and good word of mouth this could beat The Dark Knight's OW record and push for $160m. Also, with predictions of the foreign three day gross being $250m this is almost certainly going to beat HBP for the biggest WW opening weekend.

In Australia, it has beaten the record for highest grossing opening day with $7,029,487; the record was previously held by the Lord of the Rings' The Two Towers and Return of the King.

It took $46 million internationally just yesterday. This movie is going to break all the records.

I see it in an hour. I don't remember the last time I was so excited about a movie. My other half wanted those bloody 3D glasses so he can take the p*** out of me (there's more than a passing resemblance to HP when I have them on) but I don't care, it's going to be worth it.

The guy at Cineworld told us to get there mega early as it was going to be busy, so we're heading soon to make sure we get a good seat. This film better not let me down!

I read about theatre showings selling out so I literally raced online to book tickets for Saturday :kink:

It seems appropriate considering I have seen every Harry Potter film in the cinema and I shall see it out in the Cinema, also now in 3D!
