June 8, 201015 yr I have just got back form seeing her at the birmingham LG arena, she was AMAZING! breath taking, i was completely blown away by her beauty and her voice! When she sang run, it moved me to tears! the whole arena lit up and sang along with her, she talked so much, and she really did interact with the audience! Outta My Head, was just bliss! EVERYONE was dancing where i was sitting, and then she started dancing and the whole crowd were like "LEONA LEWIS DANCING :o" she really didnt put on a show! She did run and said thanks and everythink, and people started to leave, and then she came on to do bleeding love, it was beautiful! she looked amazing, my friends and i thought she looked a tad like katy price at times, defenatly in a good way! Also when she sang first time, it shocked the whole audience, and it was silent, apart from me shouting "I LOVE YOU LEONA" she finnished and the whole audience stood up and cheered! for about 5 minutes! The best concert i have EVER been to! The only thing that p*ssed me off, was this woman sat next to me and my friends she told us to shut up because we were screaming and talking and singing, i said if she wanted to listen to her music quietly she should have stayed at home and brought the cd and sat there and listenend, then we got in this arguement with her but ohhh well :L Im still stunned by the whole concert! ALSO Gabriella was soo good! she sang 1. invisible girl 2. seet about me (i think) 3. summart about " your best friend loves you" she either sang that thrid or sweet about me 4. glue 5.hearts dont lie 6. on a mission (:  Edited June 8, 201015 yr by MusicIsMyLife

'First time ever I saw your face' was stunning and deserved the standing ovation she recieved for it. I went with a friend who didnt like leona's music one bit and thought she was quite boring, but when we left she absolutely loved it, it just goes to show how peoples perceptions of her aren't actually justified. Outta my head was fantastic, really really should be a single if she can perform it like that, my god. and Run was epic, i managed to capture it all on my phone, a complete black screen with dots of light with leona and the entire audience singing along was something that put an amazed smile on my face, it was well worth and I'd deffo see her again. ooh and the resturant food was quite nice too :D

(: what merchandise did you buy? i just ended up buying the brochure the merch looked quite good though, the black bag with giant red lips i thought was really good, i nearly bought one of them posters the guys were selling outside the arena for £2 but thought it were a bit dodgy :) i waited round back with a friend for her to come out but everything was blocking my view, first some crane things then a people carrier got in the way :(

June 12, 201015 yr I will also be seeing her tonight, I'll probably be on the train in about 30 minutes! I've not been really excited about it, but I just know it's going to be one of those that totally changes after you see it. I've not watched any of the vids, but the voice should be enough to get me going. Still gutted about no "Love Letter", "Footprints..." or "Yesterday" though, would rather see them than all the covers.
June 13, 201015 yr Leona was brilliant last night, her voice was unbelievable, I was completely blown away. My favourite performance was easily 'Outta My Head', and now my voice is hurting so much after singing along. :D
June 13, 201015 yr Now, I'd disagree with "Outta My Head" being the highlight, she didn't really sing as much of it or dance as I'd hoped. This is my video of it: 2fcRJZa2n7Y My favourite videos I got were "Homeless" and "Happy". I'll post those two here, but I've also got "Brave", "Bleeding Love", "Whatever It Takes" and towards the end of "Take A Bow" on my Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/milanjito Fqqm9zJEmbU Homeless wi1hy5J3sf4 Happy She was brilliant! I'm not sure it'll be a popular opinion but I'm almost left wishing she wasn't trying so hard to shake off the 'boring' tag. I appreciated her moving around and working the crowd, but it's not those performances that stuck in my mind. It was the more stripped back ballads that sounded best. My highlights were "Homeless", "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", "Happy", "Run" (the 'light up' with the phones bit would have been more special if I hadn't done it better during "Where Is The Love" at BEP last month) and "Can't Breathe". (the first two in particular were proper goosebump moments, was almost welling up haha) The more 'underwhelming' performances were the likes of "Outta My Head", "Whatever It Takes", "Better In Time" and "Take A Bow". I wanted more singing and I much prefer the latter two in their original ballad styled mixes. I suppose she can't really win. She could either do a show that shows off her voice a lot more and be criticised for being boring or she does this show and gets criticised for trying to leave her comfort zone. But you just can't compare her tour performances of something like "First Time" with the more uptempo numbers, it'll be ballad every time when picking the best. (this is from someone who LOVES "Outta My Head" and "Forgive Me", the latter oddly got a slightly ballad style remix?!) Oh and I heard a few people saying they'd have expected her to do a few more tracks, even though she does a lot of the singles, I think the setlist does feel a bit bare. Perhaps two more songs and replace a few of the covers and it'd be perfect.
June 13, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the vids and review! :) The more 'underwhelming' performances were the likes of "Outta My Head", "Whatever It Takes", "Better In Time" and "Take A Bow". I adore Leona's voice and her ballads and I would definitely state that Homeless, Happy and First Time are stunning and some of the highlights from the tour. But I would equally say that Outta My Head, Forgive Me and Sweet Dreams are just as big highlights and are also amazing performances. This tour proved more than ever she can handle uptempos and can excel at them just as much as ballads IMO. :) I understand what you mean but if she had done a whole arena show full of ballads she would have been heavily criticised. I haven't seen hardly any criticism for leaving her comfort zone, people are impressed with it and glad she did. She ensured that she gave the energy required in the uptempos and showed off her voice in the ballads to please everyone. Edited June 13, 201015 yr by Rain

She ensured that she gave the energy required in the uptempos and showed off her voice in the ballads to please everyone. It's not that I didn't like the uptempos, I just can't compare them to the ballads. I'm not sure if it's down to the section of the show she performs it in, but "First Time" was the only performance that got people out of their seats to give a proper standing ovation. (though that may be because people were standing for a lot of performances anyway) It's just the intimate stage set up and her voice echoing throughout the arena that made it special. That's not to say she isn't capable of the uptempos, she certainly is. I mean the likes of Lady GaGa, Rihanna, Cheryl Cole and even Whitney Houston have left some of the choruses on the uptempos to backing singers or tracks when I saw them, nearly everyone does (except maybe Bev), I just don't get as much from them. I suppose I kinda wanted the exact show she'd have been criticised for, just because her vocals are some of the best out there. But yes, she did a good mix to appeal to everyone, which was fine.
June 15, 201015 yr I LOVED her version of Sweet Dreams, and the video for they dont really care about us <3 amazing! If only there was a studio version of sweet dreams
June 18, 201015 yr They are filming tonight for the tour dvd :cheer: :w00t: Delighted we get to have one! :yahoo: Can't wait to pick a copy up
June 20, 201015 yr I'm going to see her tonight!!!! cannot wait. alexandra and leona in one wkend - rare!
June 21, 201015 yr Hmmm do you think the DVD will be released along with a re-release of Echo? It just makes so much sense - with either a studio version of Sweet Dreams or Scene of the Crime leading. Edited June 21, 201015 yr by SceneofSIXCrimes
June 21, 201015 yr I don't think they will re-release Echo. I think they've totally abandoned it now. The fact that there isn't even a single to coincide with the tour (yes, Outta My Head, I'm looking at you!) is very telling.
