SOS (Let The Music Play) is the 2nd single off of Jordin's sophomore album Battlefield, as confirmed by Jordin herself in part 2 of this interview:

No release date as of yet, seeing as Battlefield is about to hit top 10 on the radio play pop charts there.

This is a great choice! Upbeat/ sassy tune with great vocals.

Discuss.

Average, fillerish song, will be lucky to make much of an impact anywhere to be honest...
It's ok but not one of the best off the album imo

I loved the demo so I was very excited to get Jordin's version. At first I didnt like it compared to the demo, listened a bit more and it eventually clicked.

LOVE the song but I wouldn't have gone with it for 2nd single.

I love S.O.S. so i'm really glad it's the second single.

It's quite bland.

They should have gone with 911 Emergency

Rather early for a thread no?

I like this, wouldnt have been my first choice of second single though i've not listened to the album that many times yet

I like this but I think there are better choices for a single. Not sure if it will do well.
Probably the best choice, very bland album to pick releases from though :(

AMAZING!

Adore this song, I can't believe people are saying this is bland - it shows more personality and attitude than her entire debut combined! It's just a perfect pop song, I listen to the song and think the killer verses are my favourite parts until the chorus kicks in and then I start to sway back and forth. I've had this blasting for days. The negative reaction to her album has me worried about the albums potential, but I hope she can make this a hit anyway. I imagine the video to be a bit like a cross between Don't Stop The Music and a more clubbed up version of Forgive Me. I just really hope Jive will give her some money to play with for the video and don't give her different coloured backdrops to dance in front of. Battlefield's video was just dire.

It does have a little attitude but not much :heehee: The chorus especially is very TAME. It's okay as factory-made 80s-esque upbeat midtempo club joints go, but there's no real personality in it. I'd say that other than the Idol track it's her worst single.

I like the song but there are better choices for the single, such as Walking On Snow.
I think Walking On Snow would be a massive hit. Definatily one of my faves off her album eith SOS and Emergency and Let It Rain.
OH :( There wasnt enough time to show the SoS performance. Ergh, guess itll appear online just.

they played this on Radio 1 a couple hours ago and mentioned the album.

BTW i dont see what everyone see's in Walking on Snow... its the worst on the album IMO...sorry

That's exactly how I feel.

It's just such a lame sample. That's what kills the song, for me. It's just not "cool" in any way. I really like Jordin, but this is not the uptempo song she needs.

This song is bloody good, very instant and very catchy. I pretty much agree with Kelly.

I wasn't expecting it to be a half cover of Shannon's 'Let The Music Play' (in the chorus), it was quite freaky as that's a song I've been familiar with all my life.

Really loving this now. Took me a while but I now think it's fantastic and I really hope it does well for her.
