ANYWAY, it runs much in the same way as a 'What do I think of you?' Lounge thread, except this way to get an answer of what I think of your potential entries, you have to tell me what you think of mine! I figure this will be a useful tool, not only for me, but for a lot of you out there too :heehee: Anyway, I shall deliver responses tomorrow, but until then feel free to tell me what you think of my entries (with comments for each one please, as well as how well you think each one would do, rather than a lazy 'I like them all' or 'I don't like any'! And please be honest with me...don't just be lazy just so I can review yours!) and tell me which ones (although you need to provide your OWN youtube links m'kay, I ain't searchin' for y'allz :smoke:) you're considering entering! :funky: So, here we go!

1. potentially the best Scandi-pop song of all time, a near certain 12 from FSR Rontvia and surely a huge chance to win

2. Catchy, very Kopecka...annoying accent might put some people off...low top ten/high top fifteen finish...definitely not a winner

3. If you don't send it, somebody else will at some point and it will be another Rosanna...this has grown on me quite a bit actually and is definitely the second best song here...top ten I reckon for this, no higher than 4th though

4. Not a fan...wouldn't get anything from FSR Rontvia unless it grew substantially...would probably do well (top 15 at least) because the indie crowd would be all over it with powah powah O_o

5. Definitely a potential top ten male finisher, he sounds a bit middle aged though :lol: Again, I could see low top ten/top fifteen for this one...catchy but I can't imagine it would appeal to all of the fem-pop lovers in any way

needless to say, I don't think you will DNQ with any of them, but John ME poses the biggest risk...don't feel the need to comment on my entries though, most aren't up on the internet anywhere :lol:

That I way I can blame my own "instinct" if my selection is not well loved, and not other people putting me off my initial choice.

 

Alcazar - The usual good Swedish dance pop guaranteed to get pointage from certain members. But I think they've done much better.

 

DJ Ella - Very Buzzjack friendly electro-pop. But is it distinct enough to stand out from a crowded market of Electro Dance Pop 2.0 that will doubtless be entered?

 

YENN - A bit more of an Urban Dance pop flavour going on here. A marginally stronger tune than DJ Ella IMHO.

 

Miike Snow - I really, really, really like it. A strong enough tune to get major pointage from the indie contingent I reckon.

 

John ME - The one selection I don't rate much. Personally I think it is the only one of the 5 songs that I can see DNQ'ing in a Semi Final.

 

Well, as third most successful country quite a few people out there must like my taste so I don't think it would be so bad...do you? :kink:

I guess I'll do a prediction with this too. (even though you'll be better off not listening to them because they'll probably be painfully wrong. :P

 

1. I like this one, it sounds like something that could grow on me after a few more listens, it's very catchy.

 

Prediction: 4th-7th

 

2. It's nice enough but it doesn't set me alight.....it kinda sounds like it wants to be a lady gaga song but doesn't quite get there.

Prediction: 10th-14th

 

3. Another catchy song, for some reason her voice reminds me of lights.....except maybe a bit edgier.

 

Prediction: 6th - 12th

 

4. Hmm it's an interesting song, the indie crowd will like this and will vote for it....if they can. I can see this doing the worst out of all the songs here though. But then again there always seems to be a song like this that defies odds and does better than expected so it's kinda hard to call.

 

Prediction: DNQ or 14th - 22nd in final (I think it would all really depend on who was in your semi, I think in the final it would get caught in the 14th-20th area where alot of the points usually are quite close so it could go anywhere)

 

5. I find this song a bit monotonous.......it is probably something that would do well though....

 

Prediction: 10th-15th

Yes, for me Alcazar's career best song to date is We Keep On Rockin' and I don't think Stay The Night is up to that standard.

Well before I review the ones I don't know I think 'Stay The Night' is the worst new song I've heard all year.
